In 2013 the world was devastated by an apocalyptic event, annihilating almost all mankind and turning the Earth's surface into a poisonous wasteland. A handful of survivors took refuge in the depths of the Moscow underground, and human civilization entered a new Dark Age. The year is 2033.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 44.14/day in the week to Aug 12 → 52.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Metro 2033 Redux was my first introduction to the Metro franchise and honestly, it was confusing. The game throws you into a post-apocalyptic Moscow with barely any explanation and expects you to understand the different references, mutants, the Dark Ones, psychic visions and whatever the ♥♥♥♥ is going on with Artyom The atmosphere is also really good. The underground sections are dark, claustrophobic and genuinely uncomfortable, especially when you don't know what's waiting around the next corner. The surface sections are even better because they show just how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the world became after the nuclear war The gameplay is solid. Ammo and resources are limited, so you actually have to think about what you're using instead of shooting everything that moves. The gas mask and filter system is also a good addition, especially during the surface sections. The gunplay isn't anything incredible, but it fits the survival focused gameplay quite well My biggest problem is the story. It's interesting once you understand it, but the game does a pretty poor job of explaining itself to a new player. I spent a good portion of the game wondering what the hell was going on. Then the Dark Ones show up and Artyom starts having visions, making it even harder to tell what's real and whats not. What doesn't help either is the player not being taught about the different mechanics implemented, I found myself googling or looking at binds constantly to do certain things A minor thing to note, Steam overlay did not work for 90% of my time spent in-game for some reason Overall, solid experience. Will dive further into the franchise whenver I get the chance

I never really got around to playing this game because I figured I wasn't feeling up to any horror elements, but honestly, the game wasn't really all that scary or even eerie as I'd expected. I think it's because you don't spend the majority of the game alone, which I can still appreciate in a different way. For how old the game is, I was pleasantly surprised with how well it runs still. The only things I missed in this game was an option to play in borderless mode, and when playing with mouse and keyboard, the screenshot function doesn't always work. You have to regularly pull up the Steam overlay to get the game to remember that there's a mapped key for a screenshot. If you're playing with a controller and have a dedicated screenshot button there, you won't have an issue. Didn't run into any issues in my first playthrough, but in my last I had a bit of an issue in one of the final visions where I seemed to be locked into an endless loop. Fortunately I was able to trigger the progress by slowly backing up, turning a corner and slowly walking back into the first path. Did take me out of the immersion for a bit, but I was doing achievement clean up anyway so I'm hoping this is just a rare issue and doesn't happen to others. Compared to modern games, it's on the short side which I liked. It's a nice palette cleanser, even if you're like me and want to get all achievements. It didn't take me 50 hours, I would estimate 30. I just kept the game running at times. A regular playthrough from start to finish might take you 8-9 hours. If you use a walkthrough for collectibles and other achievements, and reload checkpoints, you can even get 99% of the achievements in one run, but honestly, where's the fun in that? Now I will move on to Last Light and get to work on being caught up before 2039 is released.
This game made a very positive impression on me. The monster models are simply incredible, the weapons are awesome, and the shooting is thrilling. The plot is simple but interesting. The cinematic elements (such as hallucinations) are top-notch, and the “Illusions” resemble the dreams from Dishonored, which is a definite plus. The characters are pretty boring and uninteresting, but still better than, say, those in Far Cry 4 ;) Khan is the only character I think I won’t forget even two weeks after finishing the game. Cons: The English version of the game is unplayable, especially if you understand Russian. The voice acting(effects and intonations) was pretty weak even in Ukrainian, but it was nice to hear voices from my childhood, since every voice actor in this game was a legend of TV cartoon dubbing back when I was a kid. Overall, the game is enjoyable and quite interesting in 2026; although the first hour was mentally challenging, I’m glad I played through it. 6.8/10
