Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.

Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.

12 on sale3 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 3 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 12 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES, developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami, is a compact yet remarkably ambitious stealth experience that serves as the opening chapter to Metal Gear Solid V. Rather than presenting itself as a traditional full-length entry, the game functions as a narrative bridge between Peace Walker and The Phantom Pain, while simultaneously introducing players to the capabilities of the Fox Engine. Even years after its release, it remains an impressive showcase of open-ended stealth design and demonstrates why Hideo Kojima's work continues to influence the genre. The story follows Big Boss as he infiltrates Camp Omega, a secret detention facility located in Cuba during the mid-1970s. His mission revolves around extracting Chico and Paz, two characters whose circumstances become central to the larger Metal Gear narrative. From the moment players arrive at the rain-soaked military compound, the game establishes an oppressive atmosphere built on uncertainty and tension. Searchlights cut through the darkness, guards patrol with purpose, and every decision carries consequences. The narrative itself is surprisingly mature and unflinching, embracing themes of loyalty, sacrifice, and the devastating effects of endless conflict. While newcomers may not fully appreciate every reference to earlier games, long-time fans will find considerable emotional weight in its events. Ground Zeroes distinguishes itself through its sandbox-like approach to mission design. Camp Omega is not a massive open world by modern standards, but it is meticulously crafted. Players can infiltrate from multiple entry points, utilize distractions, tag enemies through reconnaissance, or improvise when plans inevitably fall apart. Sneaking through a heavily guarded checkpoint without raising an alarm feels just as rewarding as escaping in a stolen vehicle after a chaotic firefight. The freedom to tackle objectives in different ways creates a sense of ownership over every mission, making repeated playthroughs genuinely enjoyable rather than repetitive. The Fox Engine deserves significant recognition for elevating the overall presentation. Dynamic lighting, weather effects, and realistic environmental details make Camp Omega feel alive. Rainfall impacts visibility, shadows become valuable tools, and the transition from day to night subtly changes enemy behavior and player strategy. Character animations are fluid, and Big Boss moves with a responsiveness that represented a major step forward for the series. Crawling through mud, climbing obstacles, and transitioning between cover positions all feel natural, contributing to one of the smoothest stealth systems in the franchise. Despite its reputation for being short, the game offers more content than its main mission initially suggests. Side operations introduce unique scenarios that encourage experimentation with different tactics and equipment. Completing objectives under specific conditions, hunting collectibles, and achieving higher mission rankings significantly extend the experience. Ground Zeroes is clearly designed with replayability in mind, rewarding players who take the time to master its systems and learn every corner of Camp Omega. The level becomes increasingly familiar with each visit, transforming from an intimidating military installation into a playground for tactical creativity. Enemy AI is another standout feature. Guards react intelligently to suspicious activity, communicate with one another, and escalate their responses depending on the situation. A single mistake can quickly trigger a coordinated search effort, forcing players to adapt on the fly. This constant tension keeps missions engaging, especially for those pursuing a perfect stealth run. Combined with excellent sound design and a minimal yet effective user interface, the gameplay succeeds in making every infiltration feel meaningful. However, the game is not without its shortcomings. Its biggest criticism remains its length, as the primary storyline can be completed relatively quickly by experienced players. Some side missions also rely heavily on reusing the same environment, which may leave certain players wanting more variety. Additionally, the transition to Kiefer Sutherland as the voice of Big Boss remains a point of debate among fans who associate the character with David Hayter. While Sutherland delivers a restrained and believable performance, his interpretation differs significantly from previous portrayals. Ultimately, METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES succeeds because it prioritizes quality over quantity. It delivers an exceptionally polished stealth experience that emphasizes player choice, environmental storytelling, and technical excellence. Though brief, it lays the groundwork for what would become one of the most mechanically refined entries in the franchise. More importantly, it remains a testament to how effective a carefully designed game world can be when paired with strong gameplay systems and a compelling atmosphere. METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES may be a prologue in scope, but it stands as a memorable stealth title in its own right, offering outstanding gameplay, impressive production values, and enough replayability to justify multiple returns to Camp Omega. Rating: 8/10
