This game does not launch with Proton (on Bazzite) because of the EA app. Update: The game does not launch on Bazzite-deck stable version 43.20260420, the latest stable release as of writing this review. I tried several Proton versions, enabling IPv6 on the main ethernet configuration (Bazzite disabled it by default?) to resolve a known EA App networking bug, and attempted launching both in gaming mode and desktop mode, but every time the game fails to launch. On plain Fedora 44, the game launches fine with stock Proton using either GNOME Wayland or Gamescope.

the way one game effects the next and it all effects the end. this is the first series of games made that had a progressive story line that changes every time you play it.

Но отдельного упоминания должны удостоиться EA. Это контора мудоублюдских уебищных ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, которая привязала запуск этой игры к интернету и я буквально не могу зайти в одиночную игру только лишь по тому, что дегенератская пиздоублюдия на издателе не может никак подавиться деньгами, кропотливо проверяя, чтобы я что-то у них не спиздил. Причем причина на их стороне, ведь я спокойно могу залогиниться отдельно на их говносервис EA Games, но запустить именно Mass Effect он мне с какой-то пизды не дает с сегодняшнего дня. Видимо, поиграл и хватит. Предлагаю блюсти и сам буду соблюдать принципиальное отношение к конторе EA, а именно никогда не давать им хоть какую-то копейку, пусть идут к ебене матери. Поднять черный флаг!

Только сейчас впервые добрался до всей трилогии и могу сказать, что в целом она очень хорошо сохранилась к сегодняшнему моменту. Исключением является, разве что, геймплейная составляющая первой части. Сейчас это играется довольно топорно и нудно, но терпимо. С последующими частями ситуация намного лучше, а тройка и вовсе отлично чувствуется даже сейчас. Зато по проработке вселенной, истории и персонажам до сих пор сложно найти равных. От одной части к другой очень приятно наблюдать развитие персонажей, неожиданные преображения, выстраивание событий вселенной и то, как твои решения откликаются в дальнейшем. Тот же Гаррус от невзрачного союзника в первой части стал главным братаном к финалу и одним из самых приятных персонажей. Финал вышел не таким ужасным, как я часто слышал, хоть и с неприятными нотками. Но даже этим не удалось перебить весь тот эпик, которым пропитана третья часть. Может, сказалось то, что я разом проходил все три части, но я очень проникся завершающей главой этого захватывающего приключения. Впечатления строго положительные. Рекомендовать, наверное, нет смысла сейчас, но если пропустили - повод ознакомиться с интересной вселенной и представителем научной фантастики, аналогов которой и сейчас не найти.

I will be honest I have been sitting on this franchise for some time. I regret that big time, Mass Effect is easily my favourite game to date. Voice acting and story are on point. I could not ask for a better RPG. I cannot express in words how this game made me feel. You simply should of seen me play. I will be replaying it until I die. (We shall not speak of the ending) Garrus has me in a choke hold. Do not send help, I am happy where I am :D
