Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.57/day in the week to Jul 23 → 9.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
The Little Nightmares series has been captivating millions of players worldwide since 2017. Now it’s your turn to try to survive the first entry in most charming horror series ever made.
Take on the role of Six, a lone child lost in a massive metal vessel known as the Maw, surrounded by dangerous, distorted versions of adults. You’ll need to do your best to escape in one piece or your fate will be worse than you ever dared dream.
You wake up in a damp, dark room. Your sole possession is a brass lighter. You have no memory of how you got here, but it’s clear that you are in danger. Only your keen eyes and quick wits can get you out in one piece.
This world is not meant for children, but you can use your stature as an advantage with a bit of imagination. Climb drawers and shelves to find child-sized passageways through The Maw too tiny for the adults to reach and you’ll be safe… at least for a while.
The inhabitants of the Maw have only one use for children, and it’s never pretty. Children who don’t want to get caught should stay hidden and move carefully when they’re around. Under certain circumstances, a distraction might avert their attention long enough for you to scuttle away scott-free. Be careful, if you accidentally make too much noise, the Residents are quite determined once you’ve caught their eye.
Sometimes, there’s no other choice but to run. If you can stay alive long enough to get somewhere the Residents can’t reach you, you might survive.
Can you make it through the Maw to freedom? Six is counting on you. Good luck, little one.

Reviews
Little Nightmares is an overhyped milestone in the horror platformer genre and I can see why: with a big publisher like Bandai Namco, cross platform launches, Unreal Engine 4 graphics and an admittedly great art design and chilling ambient sounds, the game feels much bigger than it ends up being. Because in reality, it is a short adventure only 4 chapters in length (with the comparatively brief fifth chapter just being a final boss fight), with each 45 minute chapter set in a different location and having a different theme, followed by three paid DLCs that have been made as a result of the main game’s brevity. The Enhanced edition offers higher texture resolution, reflections of Six in puddles on the ground, circular waves if she jumps into a puddle, and Six will leave footprints on the floor if her feet are wet. But returning to the main game, it takes place aboard a ship of sorts, called The Maw, and you play as a little kid in a yellow raincoat called Six, who is a girl. Armed only with a lighter, your job is to, well, keep moving towards the right in this platformer. You have to jump, duck, run, drag objects, hold objects (some of them are keys that need to be found elsewhere in a room to unlock a door), hold and throw objects (e.g. onto elevator call buttons), sneak past monsters and flip switches. The game offers nothing else, no puzzles to solve or any stopping and thinking required on how to best approach a situation. The only times I got stuck was when the way out was hidden in plain sight (e.g. behind a mirror, or a cage you need to crush) or because I kept failing a chase, which get harder as you progress in the game. The chases are, in fact, the most annoying parts of the game because they eventually require you to avoid obstacles you can’t really see; invisible kill zones you can only guess based on the foes around you. And having to run, do a long jump (yes, there are two types depending on a press, or pressing and holding the jump button) and then grab and hang onto a swinging lantern while being chased and use that lantern to jump over an abyss and land on a platform you need to grab the edge of on the other side, can lead to frequent retries. The game has a checkpoint system, but if you quit the game and restart it, you may find yourself in an earlier checkpoint, having to redo more of the level. While the game looks great as a tech demo (especially in 2017, when it first came out), and has an artstyle that makes it look like a playable movie, I found the level design of other platformers like Limbo or INSIDE as well as the story they tell, better. And if you want a similar “horror” experience, but with puzzles that actually require some stopping, pausing and thinking, I recommend DARQ. The Little Nightmares base game can be completed in one, maximum two evenings worth of gameplay and aside from one or two creepy characters you keep thinking about long after you’ve played the game, others like the leeches or the shoe monster don't get more spotlight and the game itself doesn’t have a memorable story. This is where the DLCs come into play: unlike the main game, they have better puzzles and don't have that blind "run towards the right" layout but one that requires some head scratching. I especially found the Hideaway DLC worth getting, as it requires teamwork with the Nomes which I thought was really cute in this otherwise bleak world. But the fact that each of these DLCs that so nicely fill the gaps of the main game's shortcomings, are also only 45 to 60 minutes in length and locked behind a paywall and still don't get discounted properly 9 years after launch, soured my mood. Hence, I rate the base game as a skippable "experience", unless you fully invest into the franchise, in form of the DLCs and the sequels as well.

not bad
Jogo excelente! E não se preocupem com os comentários reclamando que o jogo só dura 5 horas. Se você for incompetente que nem eu, dura muito mais.
Cutsie little horror platformer. As if All Tomorrows and Spirited Away had a baby. Speaking of babies, this game is about... um... child trafficking... and cannibalism... and overconsumption? Not a single word was spoken throughout the game, yet the story was told. A magnificent, complex story. I find that amazing. And it scared the ♥♥♥♥ outta me. The way it made me feel small while I climbed the outside of the ship... And humming of that yokai lady... The way sound effects build tension and anxiety... Chef's kiss! Controls are ass, but the vibe is 10/10.
At most, this is a purchase that should be made on sale or for free. Still, I’m not sure I’d even recommend it at that point. It is ASTOUNDING that this game has an overwhelmingly positive review status at times. The internet loves creepy things; that may be the only reason I can muster to explain the positive reception. And even then, it’s not scary nor is it *that* creepy. Gameplay-wise, it’s not fun and it’s not very entertaining. The controls and awkwardness of maneuvering are awful. You will find yourself getting stuck on objects and inadvertently missing walls, ledges, etc. very often. Frustrating, to say the least. The plot has something there, but it really isn’t done all that well. The themes are obviously allegorical, but too contentious and certainly too ambiguous to really quite put together anything of substance. I was left wondering if the plot was meant to be direct which, in that case, it just wasn’t good. Or, the plot was meant to be something deeper; it was too confusing in this case. I disliked the “puzzles”, if you want to call them that. Very simple, annoying, and a chore trying to get to the next stage. Visually and audibly, it is VERY pretty and sounds terrific. I did appreciate the sound and graphical design. You know that feeling where you are nearing the end of a game, and you start thinking “What game should I play next?” I felt that way during nearly the entire play through.
Little Nightmares is a masterclass in atmospheric environmental storytelling that plunges you into a dark, grotesque world seen through the eyes of a small, vulnerable child named Six. Clad in an iconic yellow raincoat, your only goal is to escape The Maw a massive, submerged vessel filled with distorted, monstrous adults who see you as nothing more than a mid-day snack. The game's standout strength is its stunning visual art direction and incredible sound design. The "dollhouse" camera perspective creates a constant sense of claustrophobia and scale, making every table, doorway, and kitchen counter feel impossibly daunting. From the creaking metal hulls to the heavy, unsettling breathing of the Chefs, the sound design does heavy lifting to build suspense. Every encounter relies on quiet stealth, precise timing, and environmental puzzle-solving rather than direct combat, which keeps the tension razor-sharp throughout the entire journey. Where the experience hitches slightly is in its platforming precision and short runtime. The 2.5D perspective can occasionally make depth perception tricky, leading to frustrating misses on jumps or tight stealth maneuvers. Additionally, the story leaves almost everything up to interpretation, which works wonders for mood, but might leave players wanting a bit more narrative resolution by the time the credits roll. Despite those minor mechanical quirks, Little Nightmares is a deeply memorable, visually captivating horror-platformer that stays with you long after you put the controller down. Score: 8/10
a good start to the little nightmare series. good plot, graphics, optimisation, and everything, but I think it won't appeal to everyone because it's too linear
I like the atmosphere and feel of this game.
