The controller mapping is broken if you use an XBOX controller. It doesn’t matter what buttons you set in the game menu, it won’t change the ‘default’ setting. This particular default setting the game uses is MISSING functionality you need to play the game! You cannot lock onto an enemy or use a special attack if you are using an XBOX controller. You’re forced to use a Playstation controller or the keyboard instead. The in-game combat is brainless; most AI enemies you face can be destroyed if you simply spam X and then Y to win. There’s a tiny window of recovery after you’ve been attacked which they don’t use. So, you can knock them down and then just keep doing the same two attacks over and over. That is, until you come to the final bosses who are frustratingly annoying to fight, especially when they are at low health. They will lock onto you, blast attacks and won’t let you recover at all. When you try to attack them, even with a distance attack, they’ll have their shield up at the perfect moment most of the time. In any case, the combat is boring, becomes monotonous quickly, and presents no challenge. There’s next to no strategy involved. In fact, the only time I had to use some form of ‘strategy’ was during boss fights, and that involved running from them and using distance attacks, then attacking close, then running away again... rinse and repeat. The story is ridiculous and every conversation at the start of a battle is an information dump. Its as generic as generic gets, and I skipped most of the dialogue. The characters mouths don’t move when they talk; they may as well have placed mannequins in their place instead, that’s how stiff they look. The game performs OK and the presentation is fairly good, that’s about it. Avoid this game at all costs otherwise.

If you don't have a controller don't even try buying this game. I never experienced any crashes, the controls are solid, and the gameplay is great. The level graphics are terrible, but the characters look fine. SFX are decent, music is amazing. 7/10

Are you into fighting games? This is the game for you. If you can put up with cheesy 1980's anime lines.

Played it a bit. Likes: - Designs: - Characters story seems the usual but it's interesting. Dislikes: - The gameplay. Smash buttons and win. - Dubbing gets anoying as they only speak a few words of each sentence. - The camera unless you press hold camera and the characters looks the enemy. I keep on playing this game and finish it only because I spend my mone on it. I recomend it if you like smashing buttons and pretty characters with big swords.

So, yeah. Umm... It really has been almost a year since this game had been released. I know that there are mixed reviews about this game, but I must admit that this game is really good. Considerably fun to play. The graphics are also good. Full-force combat is pretty intense while making an attempt to pull out a combinative move or moves (Chaining). And yes, getting combo'd by specters is pretty irritating in such an overwhelming type of manner, but after all, I must say that this game is pretty fun and enjoyable to play for those who are most likely interested. :]
