I don't play games often. My grandkids got me into this game. The last game I put this much time into was Breath of the Wild which this game has a few similarities to. I hope the tree is going to be a bridge to other realms as large as this one. I highly recommend! After 1447 hours so far I'd say it's worth the money.
When I first played Legends: Arceus, I thought it was the best Pokemon game ever. It had most of the "this is what a perfect Pokemon game" features: big, open worlds, riding Pokemon, reasons to explore and discovering brand new things. But then I played Palworld and realized: THIS is the best Pokemon game ever. Pokemon's biggest flaws (in my opinion) and how Palworld solves them: * The majority of Pokemon are functionally useless. Whether it's stats, move pools, or typing, the majority of Pokemon aren't viable. Every Pal has some benefit, whether it's in your base or exploring in the world. And this has been further improved by... * Your "favorite" Pokemon might actually be garbage. It sucks so much to finish a playthrough with Pokemon you've bonded with to then discover their IVs/EVs are terrible and will be of no use to use for endgame content. Over time, there have been SOME ways to "fix" your Pokemon, but it takes a lot of time and money. But you can now upgrade the "IVs" of any pal, increase their stats in multiple ways, and even change their "passives", gender, and work suitability. You can make any individual pal "good" and be by your side the entire game if you so choose. * There's no sense of mystery or discovery left in Pokemon. All the big Pokemon are shown in the marketing, but you already know what the other 1,000+ are going to be and what biomes they'll live in. But I love wandering in Palworld's forests or climbing mountains to see if I can spot distant islands in the oceans. I might discover a new subtype of pal in a dungeon or in a cave, or even a random egg I found. I truly don't know what I'm going to find, and the world has become even more lived in as they've updated it over the past few years. Everyone has different ideas of what their "ideal" critter catching/rearing game should be, so things like tech trees, base building, and no evolutions might be hard nos for some people, and that's okay. But Palworld has all of those for me, and even more, like the ability to make random spawn worlds or "nuzlocke" rules. It's at the point that I look at new Pokemon games, its cities with three enterable buildings, evolution mechanics so obsure you HAVE to google them, and the same 30 Pokemon being used in endgame and wonder...why put up with that anymore? Why not instead play a game that lets me use whatever creatures I want, spend my time wherever I want, and always be excited to go out in the world? The fact that I already own the game and don't need to buy a Switch 2 is a great bonus lol
This is one of those games where you log in with a specific goal in mind, and then 4 hours pass. You'll go out to get materials, build something, or catch a specific Pal, but instead end up exploring a new area of the map, finding dungeons, uncommon Pals, and becoming completely sidetracked. Great game, highly recomend it. And there's a new patch update happening soon.
Throw Ball. Catch Chicken. Breed Chicken. Make The Chicken The most powerful In the world and slaughter everything and everyone. Good Game
great game happy to this game survived Nintendonts lawsuits
When it first came out in Early Access, my nephew asked if I wanted to play with him. I watched a bit but said, 'F*** no—that's not a game for me.' The color palette? Just NO F***ING WAY I'd ever play that." "A month later, my son asked if we could play together. Reluctantly, I said sure; I thought it would give us a few hours of playtime. So, I bought the game and joined him... Now, 404 hours later, here I am at 2:53 AM. I can't wait for the damn v1.0 to come out in a few hours! :D
This game is fun its a good mix of farming, cute creatures and violence
I bought this game 4.7.2026 2pm and when I downloaded it and started playing I had high hopes it will be exactly game for me. In first like 2-4 hours I already had Pals in my base working and defeated first boss. I got kinda let down by repetitive creatures. Than I discovered saddle for flying Pal. I found him in next 10 minutes because I didnt realize I have to look up when I look for something flying. After finishing saddle I felt kinda bored of all those same Pals so I started scouting new areas. I got confused by world map because it didnt stop scrolling sideways so I felt like a victim of minor bug. After about 5 hours of flying oh boy was I surprised that map scrolling wasnt a but. THAT MAP IS HUGE! Holly molly. This got me so into the game that it is now 6.7.2026 8pm and I already spent 28hours in game (out of 54 hours irl). This will be a long journey and I am looking forward to it and I am glad that Pocketpair won law suit against greedy nintendo. GREAT FKIN JOB GUYS!!
Can't believe I have almost 270 hours of playtime in Palworld and never left a rating. It's been the only early access game that I followed since day1 and always came back to whenever it got a new update. Congratulations on the success, really looking forward to the full release soon, I'm so ready! Will both keep my old world but also start over on a new file. To anyone that was ever thinking about giving it a try, I really recommend doing so once it gets the full release in July. It's been a blast every time ♥
Game severely lacking optimization on AMD GPU's. It is a shame for such a good game, but I shouldn't get 45 FPS in fights with my 9070XT. It feels like playing a game on PS4 with 30FPS. Also UI is still too raw for a 1.0 release. The main issue is the lack of optimization for AMD hardware. I find it utterly disappointing and unbelievable in 2026. I can't recommend this game, unless they bring optimization for AMD GPU's. I will try to continue playing.
