I was about to write a proper positive review after finishing the story but it just isn't possible. The game was running totally fine until La Festa chapter but now it constantly crashes with GPU error at one specific spot during the on-foot chase. And according to discussions, there is currently no solution and I am in fact lucky that I even got so far without crashes. Until this gets a solution, I really can't recommend the game. My beloved Hangar 13, I am truly sorry but that's the way it is.

Overall, I'd rate Mafia: The Old Country a 9/10. It's one of the very few recent releases that genuinely exceeded my expectations. Lately, I've become used to new games being fairly mediocre, so I didn't have particularly high hopes going into this one -but I was pleasantly surprised. The gameplay is consistently fun, and the immersion is excellent. The developers did a fantastic job recreating early 1900s Sicily, from the atmosphere and environments to the overall feel of the world. It really captures the setting in a way that makes you want to stay immersed in it. The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is a combination of two things. First, the romance subplot felt a bit too cheesy and unnecessary for a Mafia story. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't add much for me personally. Second, the campaign felt a little short. I finished it in around 20 hours, which is perfectly reasonable for a linear, story-driven game. However, by the time the plot really hooked me and things started getting especially interesting, I found myself wanting more. Despite those minor criticisms, this is an excellent game and one of the strongest releases I've played in a long time. If you're a fan of story-driven action games or the Mafia series, it's absolutely worth playing.
If you like good narrative single player games with no open world bloat you will enjoy this game. This is not a generic open world game with side quests and endless amount of collectibles etc to gather. I really enjoyed a game that I could finish in about 17 hours of gameplay with a good plot and nicely paced missions.
Gillar detta spel, det jag personligen inte gillar är kniv slagsmålen eftersom dom är tråkiga och jag föredrar skjut vapen (det är skjuta i spelet med) men önskar att det var mer skjuta än knivslagsmål, Historien är väldigt bra och inga glapp i den (Maffia Historien följer bra) Lite sorglig dock men i den världen så är det ju ingen dans på rosor, Eller hur?, Så om du gillar dom andra Spelen i serien så köp spelet för jag tror du kommer gilla det som jag gjort, jag är ett fan av denna serie dock (bör ju nämnas), Tack till spel tillverkarna (Har haft en kul stund med spelet), Och ser fram emot erat nästa spel i serien om ni släpper det ( En önskan dock, Låt oss välja bort knivslagsmål och använda skjutvapen istället) ,Tack.
