do not buy this game if you: - dislike romantic clichés. like k-drama, telenovela, wattpad levels of cliché. - dislike ditzy, obnoxious weeb MCs (sorry luna) - are bothered by an inconsistent art style (when it comes to the sprite art, at least) - cringe easily - are looking for all around three-dimensional characters with complex dynamics etc. (there's a character who's in all fairness a stereotypical overly the top mean girl, dating one of the MLs and the ML in question doesn't even like her. not much more depth to it than that) - prefer visual novels with more choices that impact the outcome (there's only 1 in this one) this was dumb, and i don't mean this in a necessarily bad way? i bought this (without any further research) thinking it was going to be full of cliches and that kind of nonsense, and i was right. to me that's not really a problem because i grew up reading shoujo manga, i have a major soft spot for that stuff. it wasn't the worst thing i've read through, but it wasn't particularly good either. can't say that i would really recommend this to anyone i know. it was fun, but mostly because it's that cliché (and a bit cringe), it really just slaps you in the face sometimes. so far i've only read through enix's route. i'm probably still going to read through the rest of it. it wasn't that bad in my opinion, but it's possible it's only because i have shoujo manga brainrot. i had fun, and i really don't think games have to be mind blowing and deep all the time. it's just not worth the money for most people, i think.
This game is so well written. Each story is extremely unique, and you're never quite sure what's going to happen. While there are 'choices' in the game, they don't lead the story any differently, so feel free to select any options you want without repercussion. The only decision point is at the very end of each story and it will go to black and let you know it's a crucial choice so you can save if you'd like to try both options! You can also opt out of the super 'spicy' sections if you want. I wouldn't recommend this for kids because of those spicy sections, but aside from those the game is really cute! I love how different the characters are and how your main character changes her personality to match the vibe. I really hope they open up the other characters in the future! I will definitely be following this creator to see future releases/games. Pros: Unique stories, quirky humor, no in-game purchases (aside from future characters as they are developed which is understandable), gorgeous game and visuals, easy game mechanics, well-written, great pace, tons of save spaces!! Cons: The pictures in the gallery don't really match the same style as the game characters, so I don't go back to them much or get that 'tee-hee' feeling as I feel a little bit of a disconnect, but that is probably just me being picky. A part of me wishes some of the choices held more weight in the direction the game went (e.g., bad ending, neutral ending, good ending) instead of just one choice for good/bad. Overall, I strongly recommend this game! It's the best one I've come across in awhile.
Love Spell isn't afraid to be silly, while also being full of heart. The MC (Luna) is cute and relatable. I like how her personality is a little different between routes, it makes each one feel more unique. Jamie is definitely my favorite. I like how his relationship with Luna starts off rocky at first, then it slowly gets better as they become more honest with each other. He's the sweetest cafe boy and deserves the world. There was a lot of care put into this game. I especially love the chibi cut-in scenes and post-game stories.
This is truly a remarkable game, and it's clear how much love was put into it. I've played my fair share of otome games, and this one checks all of the boxes - the humor actually hits with modern day language, the writing is very well done, and the art style is beautiful. The UI is easy to navigate, and while this may feel like an unpopular opinion, I enjoy the fact that your choices don't lead you to a "bad route" unless you choose to, alongside the extra warning - when I played other otome games and I end up with a bad end after a blind playthrough it was a slog to try and run through again. The choices the devs made eliminated that feeling entirely, which I love. There were maybe two typos total in the game, which I easily skipped past. Having a CG portrait of Luna and her facial expressions really immersed me into the story. I absolutely cannot wait for Sergio's route, as I can probably tell he will be my favorite. I highly suggest anyone who loves otome games, even more mature ones, to check this one out.
the art in this game is just MWAH. seriously i could hug the artists with all my might. on a real, i truly loved this game. the stories were very cute and kept me on my toes icl. i also really recommend picking up the aslan dlc. it was magical <3 not to mention i fell in love with philia, silly girl
Для непритязательных барышень, любительниц мыльных опер и плоского юмора. Уровень интеллекта ГГини чуть менее, чем у ломтя хлеба.
I have only played one route so far, but this game won me over within the prologue. I really love it and have been constantly entertained throughout my playthrough. I'm so excited to continue with the other love interests. I'm hooked ☺️
This game truly made me smile so damn much that my cheeks hurt. The humor is precisely my style and as a huge nerd I got all the references that were packed in. Of course, it might not be everyone's cup of tea but it definitely was mine. Between short mobile style apps and long story heavy titles, this game hits the sweet middle ground with length and plot pacing. Also, if you read otome for romance rather than some intriguing plot, you will like this - as do I. When I browsed other reviews for this game, almost all of them said that Luna changes her personality in every route. That is not true. It is only that in every route a different aspect of her personality is higlighted. And, as someone who is precisely like Luna, with personality, hobbies, quirks and even star sign... I loved it so damn much. Now onto the guys routes, starting from least favorite- Marcello - I am sorry but big, good hearted himbo is not really doing it for me. The highlight of his route was makeshift DImitri from Fire Emblem alias Sergio. This route put emphasis on MC's sense for justice and courage to do the right thing. Jamie - While his art is gorgerous and his story was very... moving, it was also boring in a sense. Not much is happening, pure slice of life vibes. In this route MC explores her musical abilities and deals with stage fright (same girl, same) Aslan - Gosh. I originally played this game for him, I picked it up only because I seen an art of him :D However, his route at the beginning felt like a damn chore. It picks up a bit near the end but... It is barely salvaged. Aslan's personality also didn't quite hit the sweet spot. He is very timid, shy and not really... forward (?). His route had also zero amount of spice, so yeah, I would say this is the only one I would allow a kid to read. Enix - Really shows how communication is important which is valuable life lesson. The entire plot of this route could be solved if young Enix opened his mouth and asked the damn question lmao. Ahem. Anyways, Enix as 2D husbando was absolute delight and I get why he is considered as the "canon" route by many other reviews. Also, please die Isla, thank you. And of course, the last, the unexpected star of the show and winner of my heart- Florian. The Demon Professor. Archeologist. Put together, responsible, clever, ambitious and freaking passionate. The snark. The glasses. Everything about Florian just screams "hot hot hot". His route was pure delight from start to finish, not a single dull place. This also might be my personal bias since like MC in this route I also went down the route of History major but... I think that MC is best suited for this route/life. Also the steam rating... 18+ definitely :D Favorite piece from epilogue: Florian: God, it's so damn hot in here (said it for 100th time) MC: Stop whining, I swear you sometimes behave like a kid Florian: *smirks* I can give you one... So... would I recommend this? YES. Yes, buy this, if you aren't dry stick without sense for humor I promise you, you will have a blast ✮⋆
i've been playing nothing but warhammer 40k and space marines recently, this was literally THE perfect palate cleanser I feel I've redeemed back some of my Y/N girly-pop divahood, so thank you queens for making such a cute game xoxo
This game is actually so good gang. I was a bit hesitant at first because I didn't like how one of the characters looked but they are all such cutie pies once you play, i even ended up getting the DLC for Aslan! Legit though every route made me cry at least once! I definitely recommend this!!
