This is a solid entry in the LiS series. Steph was too cool in Before the Storm, and it's great that's she's a major character here. There are some minor nits and quirks, but overall the story delivers the feels and the choices have an impact. It's worth your time. I felt a little motion sick until I disabled the chromatic aberration effect. You can edit your config file to do the same (bonus: disable depth of field and mouse smoothing while you're at it): In your AppData/Local/Siren/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor/Engine.ini, add/set the following: [/script/engine.inputsettings] bEnableMouseSmoothing=false [SystemSettings] r.DepthOfFieldQuality=0 r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0 r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0

This is by far my favorite game of the series so far!

I have played through this game with @Enanka. We are big fans of the original LiS and Telltale Games products. We tried hard to enjoy this game, but ultimately failed, despite finishing it. During the game, there was a moment or two when something slightly unexpected was happening. But other than that, the game was WAY too linear and boring. It was difficult to relate to the characters, or even like them, as they lacked depth. Additionally, the pacing is incredibly slow - majority of the time it even feels slowed down on purpose by artificially prolonged cutscenes, where everyone talks super slow, with long pauses, often exchanging absolutely unnecessary and irrelevant information. I'm sorry to leave a negative review, but my expectations were very high due to the existence of aforementioned games. I was left dissapointed. Still, I will gladly try out any future games from Deck Nine / Square Enix and I hope they will be better than Life is Strange: True Colors.

love this game! getting to explore a new story in the franchise is always fun! also adore the way it ties into the lis universe with steph and getting to see her side through the dlc was really nice!
