I have played through this game with @Enanka. We are big fans of the original LiS and Telltale Games products. We tried hard to enjoy this game, but ultimately failed, despite finishing it. During the game, there was a moment or two when something slightly unexpected was happening. But other than that, the game was WAY too linear and boring. It was difficult to relate to the characters, or even like them, as they lacked depth. Additionally, the pacing is incredibly slow - majority of the time it even feels slowed down on purpose by artificially prolonged cutscenes, where everyone talks super slow, with long pauses, often exchanging absolutely unnecessary and irrelevant information. I'm sorry to leave a negative review, but my expectations were very high due to the existence of aforementioned games. I was left dissapointed. Still, I will gladly try out any future games from Deck Nine / Square Enix and I hope they will be better than Life is Strange: True Colors.
love this game! getting to explore a new story in the franchise is always fun! also adore the way it ties into the lis universe with steph and getting to see her side through the dlc was really nice!
What I appreciate about this game is that it is so different than what I would typically play- action, open world, RPG, (Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Red Dead Redemption- those types). This game, by comparison, is like an interactive lifetime movie/drama. It has just the right balance of being chill and relaxing while allowing you to observe character interactions, but also enough direct control so that I don't forget that I am playing a video game. I appreciate the realism in behaviors too, like the fact that the character doesn't sprint everywhere she goes as though she's trying to catch a bus or like she just stole something. She isn't hopping over fences and climbing up the walls like a triathlete. I liked the little details like that. I like the thoughtful asides that play music while your character is literally just thinking, but it's kind of nice. Especially if you wanna take a toke at those times. ;-) It's a 'whodunnit' kind of story and I found the main character interesting and likeable enough that I wanted to know what happened. I might do a second run just to pick the other options to see if it changes the outcome at all. I just recently started to notice and get into this genre of games. If you're looking for something that isn't the usual feast of violence, then you might want to check this one out. I think it has a demo if you're on the fence so there's little risk. It also performed well and I don't recall any bugs.
6/10
it pretty good
Bellissimo, come del resto tutti i LiS......
I like it, wish it went a little faster than it does. lol
