LEGO® STAR WARS™: The Force Awakens

Welp, 32 hours later after my original review, I have gotten 100% on the game, after grinding for many days straight. And I would like to correct myself that you don't need a Linux OS to have good performance with the game, for whatever reason, this game can't handle modern hardware in any capacity, but can easily handle old hardware without a doubt (like my laptop that sits with an 8th gen i3 iGPU set up that I got the 100% on), no clue why. I will say that the game is good, story is decent as well (I mean it's the Force Awakens movie, which I can't comment on since I've never watched the movie properly). The DLCs? Meh, The Phantom Limb should've been included in the season pass as it is not worth the 3 euros it goes for on its own. The other DLCs (included in the season pass) are definitely better, I mean they more so just add a different pov to movie events (i.e the attack on Maz's castle where in the First Order Siege DLC, you just get the Kylo Ren POV of him going after Rey). But that's all I have to say for the game. If it was an option, then I'd mark my review as mixed since it's a 50/50 in my mind due to the issues I had to deal with and so on... but for now, I'll update it to positive, BUT I still recommend Skywalker Saga over this cause there's more story content and basically no requirement for DLCs (since they're more so just character packs and nothing else), and it just runs and works better without question. P.S. I removed my original review as it would probably make the review confusing.

Finished it and had a blast! It keeps the classic LEGO humor and charm, while adding some cool new mechanics like blaster battles and multi-builds. The game retells Episode VII in a fun, lighthearted way, and it’s a great mix of nostalgia and fresh ideas.

Dieses Lego-Spiel spielt sich wie ein Zwischenstück zwischen den ganz alten Lego Spielen und dem ganz neuen Lego Star Wars. Dadurch wird es weder schlecht, noch gut. Es spielt sich vom Gameplay selbst größtenteils wie alte Lego Star Wars Spiele, hat jedoch durch das Hinzufügen von DLCs und Charakterpacks schon einiges an Charm verloren und einen zu großen Schritt in die aktuelle DLC Mentalität des aktuellen Lego Star Wars gemacht. Meine Empfehlung ist, dass wenn man dieses Spiel unbedingt haben möchte, auf einen Sale zu warten. Dann lässt sich das Spiel mit all seinen Zusatzelementen zusammen für den gleichen Preis kaufen, wie ein normales Lego Spiel kosten sollte. Ansonsten rate ich vom Kauf ab.

Appearently there is a known problem across several platforms which causes the game to CTD, but nobody seems to bother fixing it. The solution doesn't seem to be worth the effort anyway. Paid $3.15, so ♥♥♥♥ it.

well if you are thinking about buying lego star wars the force awakened, all i will say is do extensive research into their servers before so, i made the mistake of buying it, and because the servers aren't online any more it crashes after trying to connect to them so unless you just want it as a trophy on your collection wall, its complete BS because they wont ******* fix their dumpster fire because they are obviously more interested in money than keeping up their record good lego games you can replay hell i never got to ******* play it because the servers went off before i could even play it. essentially WBGames fix your dang game because its actually bs you made it so us pc players cant play unless we fiddle with your files to fix you game temporarily next playthrough you most likely will have to againand im sorry but i bought this game to enjoy not curse at while searching through files to fix yo dumpster fire of a game.

I love the Lego games! Linux friendly :)
