I played it on a Steam Deck and the experience is really good. The game runs smoothly, the controls feel natural, and it's perfect for playing at home or on the go. The story follows the movies in a humorous LEGO way, and there are plenty of characters to play with https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3742379249
The game had potential but in the end I have to give it a thumbs down. I remember playing Lego Star Wars: The Complete Sage back in the day on XBox. Thought it was a pretty good game. This game, however, was a let down. If you're getting it on sale to keep in your backlog and probably never play it, get it. But if you're actually thinking about playing it, expect several bugs and glitches... some of which are game breaking. Wasn't sure which was worse, the overbearing camera constantly fighting the player, abysmal platforming, frequent frame drops below 60fps, or the crashes to desktop. Controls: Controller -> Mouse & Keyboard -> Controller. It was janky. On the plus side, it makes me want to rewatch the movies again.
there are so many glitches. jumping when you didn't press anything, changing to the other character rather than just switchng who you are where you are. The camera angles are so choppy and make me dizzy. not a relaxing game at all
Love the game, but had some game breaking bugs, just can't recommend it.
Pretty Good. Parkour Janky and some FPS-tied bugs so recommend setting to 60fps in system settings.
.
So I saw quite a bit of this game through youtube shorts and being big Lotr fan I decided to pull the trigger and get it. The 1st act was good other than the bugs right off the bat. Sauron bugged out and wouldn't let the game progress. So no problem I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Everything was going good. Then I got to the point you escape the ring wraiths at Buckle Berry Ferry. Massive frame drops out of nowhere and there would be certain sections of the game that would make the game out right crash. Messed with the setting, issue still persisted. turned on Vsyc locked at 30Hz. It did fix the problem. But I just cannot play the game at 30Hz its choppy and looks terrible. Lucky I was just right below the refund time. This is my first Lego game and I'm kind of disappointed. Hopefully the other Lego games are better than this installment. Can't recommend
Played through the main story mode. Puzzles were sometimes very obtuse. Worst experience was the button mashing in the final Mount Doom scene. There is a major glitch that makes the button mashing input not work in several moments. Had to restart the game mutliple times, switch the resolution to 800 x 600 and turned on V-sync. Also the game does not remember previous video and audio settings after being properly exited and restarted. Only good part was the use of actual movie dialog. Give it a pass.
Can't do fullscreen-borderless even with launch options. Which means you have to deal with your display flickering everytime you need to access something else on your PC or your second monitor.
