Reviews
I wholeheartedly recommend this game. Before you continue take this review with a grain of salt. I love the three kingdoms story, I love history. This game fills a niche that used to be filled by Koei's ROTTK but with every game they try new things dropping the good parts. This game is, in my opinion, an upgrade from ROTTK. Now the combat on the map isn't spectacular, in fact it is as basic as it gets. You do have infantry, spearmen, archers and cavalry, but it is not a rock-paper-scissors game, any unit will do well vs any other depending on commander skills. The commanders is where I say this game is really fun, you get to play 1 guy, can be Lui Bei, Can be Guan Yu, Cao Cao, Dong Zhuo, He jin, you can also play a member of the Yellow Turbans, Goguryeo (Korea) or Yamatai (Japan). You can become a mercenary, a ruler, a commander/general under a ruler. You can become a master debater, a skilled duelist, or a smart commander. Marriage and kids are in the game if you want to build a family instead. Managing your individual guy, meeting other people and managing your relations is the essential core of this game in my opinion, as opposed to the combat and sieging cities. One big shoutout I want to mention is this game's events system. Since the game is also a sandbox, you will inevitable run into a situation where someone important like Cao Cao should be owning a province, but he lost it due to other AI lords attacking him for it. Enter the events interface of this game, with a very useful button to 'enforce the will of heaven' which will make sure that any city that is part of the event you are missing out on will revert back to the lord it is supposed to be under for this event to fire. Everything else remains untouched, and you get to choose if you want to do this or not. I cannot overstate how amazing this is, amazing player agency, AND a great way to allow people to experience the story while inside a sandbox game. Alternatively you can disable the AI going to war with each other, but that might make the world feel stale, however, again, player agency, you choose to disable, normalize or even increase the warfare between lords. Note: No official English translation, and the fan translation is not perfect. Personally I fight it very funny and almost immersive to read 'Report to the adult!' which should have been something along the lines of 'A report for my lord!' I find the game very playable with the translation. It has been a while since I have had this much fun in a game, feeling immersed with my own character that I made, even using an AI generated image to make a Blond European in clothing the clothing and art-style of the game for me to RP as. Searching for the events and anecdotes that I want to be a part of and then traveling to meet the right people, become friends and join the epic moments that define the story of the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. Did I mention I am biased? I think I love this part of history a bit too much. How re-playable will this game be? Well I am 111 hours in and I have barely played 10 years in game, by choice, I could go much faster but I am enjoying the immersion. If I have to say though, play a different character, maybe a poor prisoner trying to get somewhere? Maybe a minor warlord, maybe a skilled civilian administrator? How about a mercenary? Wanna join Cao Cao? Lui Bei? Or maybe you want to do all the evil thing with Dong Zhuo? Try to start an early Japanese empire? Or the scenario in 310 AD where every character gets resurrected and you get a no events, no anecdotes free-for-all with every officer available in the game from the beginning. I would say very replayable.
A卡一直死机,玩一会儿就死机,别的游戏就好好的,就这游戏不行。
不错,挺好玩的,虽然目前还有很多缺陷,未来可期
