Unique 3D designEnjoy a carefully crafted environment of medieval architecture and futuristic gadgets. Intelligent robots walk the streets of manually carved stone, power banks light up antique lamps, and typewriters serve as input devices for powerful computers.
Puzzles and mini-gamesLogic and diversity was the key to our work on this most significant aspect of the game. Just like in traditional adventure game most puzzles are tied up with objects, but there are also conversational puzzles and a whole bunch of logical mini-games.

This is a really lovely game set in a unique world filled with gossiping robots, giant turtles, snarky felines, and a crazy cult. I purchased through a Kickstarter campaign, so I got to see firsthand the love and care that went into making this game. It's impressive quality coming from such a small team. It really shines in character design and world building. I only wish that it were longer (kind of a good thing, the game never overstayed it's welcome). I finished it in three hours, which is decent for an indie adventure game. The in-game camera angles can be a little wonky at times, but nothing too troublesome. The puzzles made sense, I never got stuck, and there is a hint system. Overall, the game is well worth the price. I recommend it for lovers of steampunk and retrofuturism. Try the free demo if you're on the edge.
Weird but good 😁
KAPIA is an exciting Point&Click adventure! And I cannot stress the word "adventure" enough! It's a captivating and intriguing story that you'll want to see to the end. The world is nicely built and each character differs greatly from the next. We are dropped in the middle of events but it's the present, so we are left wondering how things came to be and what's going to happen next. It's a journey I'd want to relive that's for sure! You play two extremelly different characters; an old man and his grand-daughter. Both have their strengths and weaknesses but both are equally fun to play with as one is usually in more serious situations that vary from sad to dangerous to funny and the other is more child-like; up-beat, tantrums, imaginery, fun and disobedient. The dialogues are very well written. The puzzles are logical and require some thinking. They aren't frustrating and feel natural and fitting to the game's tone. If you are stuck, you can use the hint system but you can't spam it as it has time. One good thing is that the hints aren't telling you 100% what to do so it remains exciting to figure out the solutions. What I liked the most, apart from variety, is the undertone of the whole game. It's an emotional wave just like things are in real life. It will make you think a lot of issues from many different angles and I'm guessing if you replay it in a few years from now, you'll think deeper as you'd have grown. So it's perfect for both kids and adults (and the difficulty of the game makes it playable by both). On the negative side, my only "complaint" would be the loading times between each scene. Nothing that will break the immersion of the game but they could be improved. At least, it loads the entire area fully so after this it runs totally smooth. Thanks for the experience and the game!
Kapia is a delightful point & click adventure set in a very unique world. Switching between characters (Stefan and Reny) felt very smooth and natural, it is an interesting concept and allows for very different viewpoints. The plot keeps you guessing. There is some very serious undertones to this story but it remains balanced with lots of humor. There is a variety of funny and interesting NPCs and several clever mini-games. The art is beautiful and the music is great. Special mention: the loading screens depicting a coloring book is just an awesome idea. The adventure was over too soon and I do hope that there will be more adventures with Reny and Stefan in the future. I played this with a mouse (couldn't wait to unpack my controller) and had no serious problems, a controller would be better though. 2 for 2 - Congratulations on a great game!
KAPIA, developed and published by 2 FOR 2, is a point-and-click adventure game that blends narrative depth with a striking visual style, offering players a journey through a post-apocalyptic world unlike many others. Set within a vast, self-contained dome, the game follows Stefan, a seasoned war veteran, and his curious granddaughter Reny, as they navigate the remnants of human civilization and uncover the hidden stories that shaped their society. Since its release in January 2022, the game has been praised for its compelling storytelling, richly imagined world, and inventive approach to traditional adventure mechanics. The world of KAPIA stands out thanks to its unique visual design. The game fuses elements of retro-futurism, steampunk, and subtle cyberpunk influences, creating environments that are both familiar and imaginative. Players explore detailed interiors and exteriors filled with machinery, industrial architecture, and lived-in spaces that convey the history and culture of the dome’s inhabitants. Character models are expressive, effectively conveying personality and emotion, while environmental details encourage careful observation and exploration. Lighting and color choices further enhance the mood, drawing players into the story and heightening the sense of immersion. The narrative of KAPIA is deeply engaging, focusing on the intergenerational bond between Stefan and Reny. Their interactions provide both emotional depth and a human perspective amidst the larger post-apocalyptic setting. Themes such as survival, identity, the consequences of past conflicts, and hope for the future are explored with subtlety and care. While the story occasionally experiences pacing lulls, the overarching plot is satisfying, offering layers of intrigue and revelation that encourage continued engagement. The storytelling is further strengthened by well-written dialogue and moments of quiet reflection that balance the more adventurous segments of gameplay. Gameplay centers on environmental puzzles, item interaction, and exploration. Puzzles are thoughtfully designed, requiring logic, observation, and attention to the surrounding environment. The point-and-click mechanics are intuitive, and the game provides subtle hints to prevent players from becoming overly frustrated without compromising the challenge. Some minor issues with camera angles and navigation can briefly interrupt immersion, but these are infrequent and do little to diminish the overall experience. The combination of puzzle-solving and narrative exploration creates a pace that encourages thoughtful engagement rather than rushing through the story. The audio design of KAPIA complements the visual and narrative elements effectively. The soundtrack is atmospheric, underscoring both tense and contemplative moments without overwhelming the player. Voice acting is generally solid and enhances character development, even if a few performances feel less polished than others. Sound effects add realism to the dome’s environment, from mechanical hums to environmental ambiance, further grounding the player in this post-apocalyptic setting. Overall, KAPIA is a well-crafted adventure that combines thoughtful storytelling, immersive visuals, and engaging puzzles into a cohesive experience. Minor technical limitations do not overshadow the game’s strengths, and it succeeds in delivering a memorable and emotionally resonant journey. For players who enjoy narrative-driven adventures with rich worlds to explore and meaningful character interactions, KAPIA offers a compelling and rewarding experience that is well worth experiencing. Rating: 8/10
The game is impressive for the work of 2 people with a very low budget. It's certainly not in the league of the adventure greats, but anyone who supports this genre would have fun playing Kapia.
Very good point-n-click adventure. Memorable characters, Good animations. Good quality audio I only wish it was a tad longer, but I'm very happy with this as-is
