A game that leaves you wanting more... Which is certainly better then wanting less! The way it was advertised, I thought hunting down foreign lifeforms and categorizing them would be a part of the game play - it isn't at all, you discover one alien life-form for yourself one time maybe if you do that exploration,,, and never again. If you're intimidated by the deck-building mechanic, don't be it's real easy! If you're looking for a deck-builder, this ain't it, it is a visual novel with stat and relationship building for the PC. It's easy to get a lot of the achievements in a single play through, I got the kinda End-Ending of the game my first play-through and it was whack though amusing. I like being in game just to soak up all that delicious spacey atmosphere. Unlike anything else, fresh and inspired story! The one thing I dislike is that you can't date Tammy without getting the approval of Cal, your love-rival??? Does he own her or something - that integration into the story is incredibly odd. Let me fight broccoli-head and steal his girl, it's a simple request.
I am uncertain if i would recommend this game or not. On one hand it is a very interesting and engaging experience but on the other hand the endings seem to not be anywhere near as interesting as the game lets on. This game has such good world building and it sucked me into its story very heavily. I really wanted to know what's going on
what my powers are about, why do the gardeners seem to have such extraordinary abilities and why am i so much like them, how would we be able to resolve this and many more questions.
. I just really think that the game dropped be ball with its last ''year'' and the ending, That is my main issue. A personal opinion i have is that i dont think that the card game is very fun, its just poker with some extra steps and i find it too easy to be of any interest when it comes to building my deck. As long as you progress youll get good cards. Its a bit of a stretch to call this a card game in my opinion. This game is better enjoyed if you focus on only very few things, that does mean that you miss out on a lot of titbits of information about the world, so that wasnt a trade off i wanted to make as it made me feel like im missing out on story. I would recommend focusing on only one or two characters and their activities and replaying the game if time allows. Thats a lot to ask out of someone as only one playthrough took me 18 hours but if youre focused and a fast reader maybe its worth it for you. So play it for the journey not the destination.
This is a very well executed story game with card game mechanics added in. It's also very replayable.
I knew I'd like this game but I didn't know how much. I cried so many times lol it's so profound and has a MAGNIFICIENT story, while having great replayability. It is a deckbuilder but if you don't like that aspect of the game you can literally turn it off and enjoy the story, although I did find it fun. I love it so much, I care so much about its characters. I recommend it a LOT if you like a good heartfelt story.
One of my favorite games ever. The story is outstanding and I believe everyone will have at least one character they relate to deeply. Dys <3
My friend showed this to me on stream now I have an emo boy and a woman in stem I'd kill for! Perfect game!
Good writing and fun lil stat raising game, I enjoyed that multiple playthroughs could feel different but will say some character / routes seemed heavily favored based on attention and complexity they had.
I love this game entirely too much to write an honest, full, balanced, review. You know how sometimes you experience a piece of media and you know it's changed you as a person in some indefinable way? It's like this game took up residence not in my brain but nestled in my ribcage somewhere.
For visual novel enjoyers, LGBTQ+ people, and allies this is a great coming of age game that you can finish a playthrough of in an evening with lots of replay value!
So far it is a great story with twists.
