GOODGOOD
It's the same fun storytelling with gothic bugs, but the gameplay has a somewhat altered rhythm. Hollow Knight felt like it was more about fast, precise responses. Battles were largely singular, and combat flows smoothest once you know how to react to various patterns. Once you've got those down, you can be swift and get in damage. With Silksong, they definitely went out of their way to alter the cadence of the fights. There's still that basic DNA where you check patterns and retaliate, but bosses tend to have more adds and projectiles - moves that deny space and force you to be more mindful of your positioning. Attacks are also a bit more subdued - not as mash-heavy, but with a steady rhythm - which might tie into the musical themes of the game. Where the Knight was like fighting like a wild animal, Silksong is more measured. Some of the restraints may feel heavy, though - like down attack going diagonal and healing requiring a full charge before it can be used. If you try to play with the same recklessness of Hollow Knight, you'll likely get punished until you grasp the difference. Still a great game, though. And a great sequel.
muito legal, divertido interessante, trilha sonora boa
This is fun and challenging, just beat Lost Lace and it was the most difficult thing ive done in a metroidvania so far. I question the sanity of the people who try, and can do, this game either on 1 life or hitless
