finally beat this game and i will admit it was amazing would've been nice to see this game company make more games but sadly they got shut down however this is truly a remarkable game and love playing it
Devil may Dance
I genuinely adore this game, it makes me feel happy inside. A game that remembers what a game should be. What a fun experience! Gameplay: 10 Musical Direction: 10 (Nine Inch Nails, The Prodigy) Art Design: 9 Plot: 8 Voice Acting: 10 Hey! 🎵 Hey! Hey! 🎵🎵 Hey! Hey! Hey! 🎵🎵🎵 Krosica is the best girl ❤️
More of an audiovisual experience/piece of art than a game. The appeal comes from appreciating the enviornments, characters, music, etc. This really could've worked as a movie/tv show. Writing feels a lot like a dreamworks production already, mc is the whitest boy imaginable Gameplay itself is a little unengaging. You move through environments slowly, combat arenas are sparce and the battles are more arcade beat em ups than a dmc-like hack n slash Overall a solid time, but didn't impress me much past the presentation
Peppermint, would you please shut your face and let me play the game?
So I guess my problem is that a rhythm game has too much repetition... I can see why people seem to like it a lot, but it really didn't do much for me. The same combat encounters over and over were really tiring. I guess platforming was kinda ok, but not great. Really basic story with no surprises. Flat, generic characters, despite the great voice acting. It's by no means terrible, but I also struggle to find anything to really recommend.
Enjoyed it even though I am really bad in rhythm games! Even tone-deaf will be better than me :)
This game is such a gem. Fun, surprisingly deep rhythm-based combat driven by a phenomenal soundtrack. Charming, funny, memorable, well-written characters coupled with great voice acting. An incredibly slick art style and presentation. Feel-good story. So glad the developer found a new home because I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Hot take. I don't get the hype? Art is great, Sound is great, Gameplay is alright but pretty easy so far. Played the whole first level and boss fight on m&k which i am not great at and still never died and breezed through the boss. Writing and characters are 1/10 Crappy millennial writing and characters. It plays well but millennials are atrocious writers. Don't know if i will return to this one. Can we get these woke millennials out of gaming already before they destroy the whole industry?
They manage to keep the convos between characters light-hearted and humourous while still being well-written. Each character is so memorable, both friend and foe alike. Combat is amazing, the game's flexible in that you can choose many ways to combo your opponent, or just mindlessly use the same one if it consistently works. Everything has impact, and I find myself laughing half the time, glued to my screen the other. If there's one minor gripe I have, its that this is quite an exhausting game to play, cause there's just so much to take in and enjoy. 10/10 *I decided to start my playthrough on the hardest difficulty, so maybe it's a lot less exhausting on the normal setting, just sayin
