About

Enter the explosive conflict of the Vietnam War and fight your way through some of the fiercest clashes in modern history. Join the battle raging across an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with the military strength of the US Armed Forces. Build tunnels, fly helicopters, drive patrol boats, use historically accurate weapons and work with your team to achieve victory.

Take the battle to the enemy across 6 large-scale maps inspired by real world locations. Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 17 specialised roles within a 50-strong team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork with your fellow players to identify objectives and ruthlessly exploit your opponent’s weaknesses. Emergent gameplay features bring intensity and realism to the conflict, as players tackle each battle with authentic weapons, orders and tactics. Follow the chain of command and work together as a team to meet your objectives and achieve victory.

In the heat and fury of the Vietnam War, the battle is more dynamic than ever. New US aerial units feature fully operational helicopters for fire support and supply drops. NVA forces can build extensive tunnel networks to gain the upper hand with surprise attacks. Both sides can hunt the enemy through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats built and launched to seek and destroy. Enhanced player movement, including swimming, climbing and fast crawling, and interactions such as dragging co-combatants away from active fire to give them a chance to heal and re-engage, all adds to the immersive battle experience.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features multiple distinct gameplay modes pitting players against each other in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles. Warfare mode is a 50 vs 50 tug-of-war style confrontation where two teams fight for control over 5 sectors. Offensive breaks down the opposing forces into an attacking side and a defending side. Alternating new game modes mix up the gameplay parameters to maximise the battlefield experience. This is as immersive as warfare gets!

This game was freaking awesome for it's first deployment... Tutorial is on point and takes about an hour... Really worth it. My friend and I took the commands of a US Huey helicopter and flew for 110km (3 hours real time), helping players to transport from HQ to Hot LZ, giving our troops on the ground some airsupport fire... This was freaking awesome...
It was fun....Until it starting crashing everytime I launch it. classic new age trash

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

Idk the dense urban jungle which allows random people to be quite literally everywhere, doesn't really work for the HLL model that worked on the first game. Plus this game is another victim of the poor UE5 optimization that plagues a lot of titles. 5080 and i get massive stutter at times.
real realistic
I read some of the reviews before buying and yeah sure that game isn't perfect but if you go in expecting it to be then you will be disappointed. It is good though and I've enjoyed it so far bugs and all. Really love being able to customize my class a little bit more, makes me feel a little more useful to my squad/team. Hopefully they can fix the bugs and that the player base can stay consistent.
the trailer is heavily edited so don't come into the game thinking it looks like this, I've played the old and the new hell, this game is about communication which there usually is none, so expect losing a lot and people not doing there roles
If you're searching for the Battlefield Vietnam vibes of the early 2000's, this is the closest you are going to get without a time machine. The realism (between a standard FPS à la Battlefield and ultra mil-sims like Squad and ARMA), vehicles such as tanks/trucks, and class customization that are standards of Hell Let Loose are all intact in the jungles of Southeast Asia. Two main mechanics added are tunnel systems for the NVA and helicopters for the US. These have been implemented well, without either seeming to override the overall balance of the game. Flying a helicopter low and slow into a village with soldiers departing as firefights erupt all around is quite cinematic. Some main criticisms I see are about optimizations and players not familiar with HLL style teamwork playing it like it is Call of Duty. The developers and veteran players have no control over how other, possibly newer players, are going to play the game. Other criticisms involve having to play the squad leader and commander tutorial to play those slots in-game. This is a good idea from my perspective. The tutorials are short and if someone messes up those roles it can ruin the game for a squad or an entire side. People are leaving negative reviews leading with this as a contributing factor for them. Many games are released without being fully optimized and are criticized for feeling early access. I have had no issues with the game myself, but the developers are actively working on these technical issues and the roadmap is quite extensive for added gameplay content. Having played Rising Storm, I was disappointed that the arsenal is relatively basic compared to that game, where the NVA and Vietcong had access to several WWII era, and also later French weapons from the Indochina War. The road map shows that additional weapons and vehicles are en route with the M14 (scoped and unscoped rifle), SKS (rifle), L1A1 (rifle), L16A1 (mortar), F1 (SMG), MAT-49 (SMG), Stoner 63 (MG) and SVD Dragunov (scoped rifle). I am not certain, but that places it very near or maybe even past the total selection of weapons for Rising Storm. As always there will be historically accurate cosmetics released alongside updates. These are tied to the deluxe edition, but will be available for purchase à la carte I am sure. The game is a great continuation of the HLL franchise. Many negative reviews seem to be for it being unplayable due to technical issues, or having to play a tutorial to access the leadership roles. When the game works and the squad leaders and commander have synergy, the game is great. This is HLL with helicopters and dense jungle foliage. This is a Vietnam War game that will be supported and historically enhanced for years to come. If you do not enjoy those things, then Rising Storm will be your next best bet for a Vietnam era FPS. This though is a good game, perhaps released too early.
pretty cool game, fun but not ultra-realistic
Incredible - sure there are some kinks to work out, however, I haven't had that much issue with the game running smoothly. Love the new elements they brought to this one making it fresh but still feels like HLL. Also, really like the friend/squad invite feature.
