About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

TBH it is quite difficult to solve all puzzles and side quest without any hint. Also it is painful to find the last enemy in the map lol However overall the idea of the game is still worth to try. As for the story, actually I only can understand 30% of it...

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Underrated game imo. It features great sound design and music, a compelling story, excellent dialogues, talented voice actors, and an engaging narrative. The level design is good as well, with each map having its own identity. A game that encourages you to think for yourself feels rewarding. After 29 hours to finish it close to 100%, I feel it lacks enemy variety, imo. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
A fantastic story and a gripping world. One of the best single player story-driven game in the modern era. Amazing voice acting and visuals. At times, it feels like a AA game with a AAA skin. Small bugs here and there that does not break the game. Occasional unintuitive choices for pacing and story bits. However, the overarching narrative and world building is fantastic and difficult to find in the current climate. Sort of reminds me of 90s games where hand-holding and directions are less obvious, but this is the charm of the game. If you can get pass the janky combat, the story and visuals will carry you through the game. I encourage you to read through the notes you find and environmental details that is painstakingly added to every path you take. A one of a kind game that is rarer than diamond nowadays.

The graphics are amazing, the lore of the world was so amazing (and depressing). I loved my build and zooming across the map. Can't wait for more by this team!
Игра классная, особенно для любителей исследовать! Неплохие головоломки! Советую.
What started as a complete excitement for a game deflated significantly as time went by. 50 hours later, I managed to complete the game and achieve 100% of the achievements. While I would still recommend it to everyone, the game is not without its flaws... Or maybe my expectations were just too high. I was hooked from the very first trailer for the game, and the promise of exploration without any hand-holding immediately felt like a promise of greatness to me. While the lack of hand-holding remained true, the game's linearity made it unnecessary, as you are completely tied to a strictly set path. Even if you don't want to check every corner, you will still end up with the majority of the game's "secrets" in your inventory. The story starts out as a phenomenal mystery, and it really keeps you invested in the game and its characters. However, it turns into a fairly moderate experience and, in my opinion, lacks a bit of grandeur and plot twists. The lore is absolutely outstanding, and I have to admit that the investment in detail and the creation of a truly unique world still resonates with me. If you're not into reading everything you come across, you're missing out on some great details. The puzzles are quite mediocre. Most of them are simply straightforward, with no real need for second-guessing. Combat seemed promising, but ultimately I found it very one-dimensional and lacking any real challenge. Until the final four "mini-bosses," it was a walk in the park, no matter how many enemies you had to face. I ended up barely using any items, healing packs, or pretty much anything I collected along the way, as none of it was crucial to winning any fights. Most enemies can be brute-forced through, while some require you to be more cautious and block or evade. Combos are not really worthwhile, and the weapon differentiation is almost non-existent. It makes almost no difference whether you choose a sword, an axe, a polearm, or a greatsword. Even the infused limbic abilities are somewhat bland and ultimately come down to pretty much the same thing. The weapons look very cool, though. There's only a handful of enemy types, and you quickly grasp their movesets, after which combat becomes pretty much a walk in the park. Visually, the game is beautiful. The music is quite nice, and in some boss fights it is simply amazing and perfectly synced with the encounters. The voice acting is OK, even above average. To summarize my impressions, I still think Hell Is Us is an amazing game and definitely worth playing. However, I genuinely think it could have been made a bit more challenging and less linear. A funny thing for me was reaching the final area where you complete the game. There is an extremely long corridor with just two signposts to read and get some more lore, but other than that, you just press W to move forward and Shift to run because there is absolutely nothing else—just a straight path ahead. Once you reach the chamber, you unlock an achievement for going through this corridor. I mean, what for? There was no other way, no branching path, no combat, nothing. You achieved the remarkable feat of keeping W pressed for some three minutes straight. And there are many such corridors throughout the game.
please play its amazing, the puzzles are great, they may be a bit hard at times but keep playing because the story is so good, the characters are great, the voice acting is incredible, i enjoy everything about this game, dont play if you have a bad attention span, you need to be patient and expect to get stuck if not focusing on story elements.
