About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

It really is one of the best souls-likes out there. It's dark, climactic, and features satisfying combat along with great graphics. The visuals are still distinctly video game-like rather than striving for hyper-realism, which is something I definitely prefer. The soundtrack is really good as well. Although the variety of enemy types is quite limited, the exploration of dungeons and ancient ruins more than makes up for it. The game doesn't hold your hand. It doesn't tell you where to go or what to do—you have to figure everything out on your own. For some, that will be a dream come true; for others, it will be the game's biggest downside. It's really a matter of personal preference. The lore is very interesting too. I hardly ever read descriptions of collectibles in other games, but here I read everything—even the inscriptions on the walls. I highly recommend doing the same, because it helps you understand the world of Hell is Us much better. The setting strongly reminds me of the Bosnian War, with neighboring factions locked in a brutal conflict where neither side is portrayed as morally righteous. There is also a mysterious organization involved in the events unfolding in Hadea, seeking to use the Hollow Walkers for its own benefit. In short, the game is fantastic, and I really think you should give it a try. It offers multiple difficulty settings, so if you choose the easiest one, you should be able to get through the game without much trouble. 10/10

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Cool little souls game, with unique upgrade and weapon system, less gear - less hassle - looks and sounds are decent, but some puzzle parts of the game give 0 hints and make no sense, have to look up a guide to complete. Otherwise a good souls game
Enjoyed my time with this game. solid 8/10 for me. Be aware that the game is id say 75% talking, exploring and working out puzzles/mysteries and 25% combat so if your looking for the next god of war this is not that type of game. There is no yellow paint/devices that show you where to go or objective markers holding your hand in this game its all on you the player to pay attention and work out what is going on in this crazy world by listening to what the characters tell you or based on notes you find. The world building is amazing in this game really draws you in and makes you feel like the game is a real place with real people and also gives some great insight to the human condition and how there is two sides to every story. The combat was passable but it starts to get a bit samey by the late stages of the game as it doesn't really evolve or grow into anything special I never felt the need to try out a different weapon set or different gear set ups as the first stuff I used just seem to work all the way through. The story was great then the game just ended XD I was like oh ok guess that is the end then :(
jeu incroyable et les musiques d'ambiances sont au top
Story: War bad for everuone especially civilians, lot of parallels on the worst hours of humanity from the 1900. Can't elaborate much since i'm only on the 4th map right now. Combat: Pretty Souls-like-ish, I'm not too much into that kind of fighting style so i would say it's challenging on Balanced Difficulty. Few weapons with stances, attack speed and heavy attack differences. Regeneration on damage inflicted with a rhythm game. Experience: You won't have help, there's no map, no objective markers, no hints. That game force you to know the maps, use POI, it ask you to actually use your Brain half of the time. (something many AAA forgot). I got surprised having to resort to use an IRL pen and paper to resolve a puzzle, thing that never happened to me in years and it feels so damn good of finding out the solution. Now, gotta finish it, i'll edit it when i'll be done but these 8 hours are enough to say that this game is completely "Different" from the usual slop we see these days.
at first i was like i don't think i like the combat part but what a game. i rarely ever go for all achievements because that's just not my thing but really enjoyed completing the entire game. looking forward to the sequel.
This game makes zero sense. The combat is atrocious, i am constantly fighting the gameplay mechanics and charachter rolling around like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not hitting a damn thing even when im trying to lock on,it will randomly ♥♥♥♥ up! found one game breaking glitch where i couldnt attack at all!? the puzzle solving and the way the "mystery" system works, makes no sense!? puzzles are BEYOND OBTUSE!? to the point of pulling your hair out and guides dont help ♥♥♥♥ all to alleviate any of that!? and how the ♥♥♥♥ r u supposed to get around without a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map!? not even a chicken scratches one!? makes zero sense especially in a war zone!? dont u ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ think!? intiresting idea for a game, but awful and beyond confusing and just not a fun experience. i really wanted to love this game but i cannot in good conscious recommend such a broken obtuse confusing piece of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ of a game. dont waste your money folks!!!! unless its super cheap on sale! do not bother! you will get frustrated with this one! ♥♥♥♥ this game.
Hell is Us delivers a great start, but loses its wings pretty quickly. The first chapter is a fantastic experience. After that, the maps get smaller, and you keep fighting the same limited pool of enemies that gradually become harder by gaining new attacks and more health. Unfortunately, the combat isn’t deep enough to stay engaging, and the exploration starts to feel like a chore once you realize the rewards aren’t worth the trouble. I’m not sure if I’ll keep playing, but I bought the game at a heavy discount, and I already feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth.
