About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

Setting is great and it looks good too, story from what I saw was good but I just cannot get behind the open world sections. There are puzzles and areas with things to do but there are also many areas with nothing which would not be a problem if there was more enemy variety. Attacking the same few enemies inevitably gets easier as the game goes on and the combat is a bit iffy for me. Personally I think if the game was shorter and the areas a bit more linear then I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more. If you like open world games and lack of enemy variety then its probably a good purchase. Just did not keep me entertained and excited as it went on.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good game
This is more of a preference then an huge flaw, but for my taste this game does not look good. I even tried using FSR 4 mod, which did make it look better but still not enough. game looks way too soft and has distracting amounts of shimmering and ghosting issues. also Camera has too much lag. it can't be turned off and it doesn't matter whether I am using a Controller or a Mouse it doesn't go away. I hate when games do this. Just give me an option to turn it off, I want the camera to move instantly when I flick the mouse or turn the trigger, not start accelerating and then deaccelerating and take whole 1-3 seconds to reach max speed. For me personally, because of this issues, game is unplayable.
Atmosphere top tier, the lack of yellow paint and hand holding in 2025 is a blessing, tired of games treating me like an idiot with yellow paints and forced accessibility options Combat is okay - fun at first, but with the lack of enemy varierty it gets kinda boring. When you get to threat 3 they ♥♥♥♥ you with two shots until you progress the story and upgrade defence gear to level 4, then put berserker on twin axes and go ham Some relics are interesting like +200% after parry, never tried any besides this because why would you. Also funny bug/interaction when you put the relic that restores HP for energy spent - if one of your weapons has less energy than the other you can just swap them and it will count as energy spend = infinite heals on demand The world lore is fun and interesting but character story and overall ends somewhat abruptly with the teasing of the sequel we will probably never get Overall a solid 7,5/10 Also whoever put that pack of enemies connected with level 3 fear emotion in Jelin, ♥♥♥♥ you
The game honestly feels quite immersive at first, the story is great and they put a lot of love into their characters. But I have to say that the combination of little enemy variety, no minimap paired with - in my opinion - mapdesign that combines a lot of elements that look very similar which lead to you getting lost easily, puzzles that feel repetetive after a while AND the game sometimes feeling like it's deliberately designed to just take up more of your time than neccessary (like when I finally got the option of entering the first timeloop just to learn that apparently there are different types of prisms which are needed to close those loops - of course I didn't carry the required type) just made the game not enjoyable for me after a while. I'm more on the casual side of gaming, I just don't enjoy the story getting interrupted by tedious tasks/searches that mostly consist of running around and wondering "hmh..haven't I been here before?"
Darksiders meets Stranger Things in Yugoslavia. Fun gameplay in a cool aesthetic, definitely recommend.
I personally would've preferred if the game were more of "walking simulator" like Death Stranding, which I believed this game would be similar to - I thought this game would be like a mixture of This War of Mine and Death Stranding. To the honest, the exploration and lore were the only thing to keep me going and to want to finish the game. The fact that there is no map, quest markers and such was quite refreshing, however the amount of backtracking mixed with puzzles and repetitive combat made the game feel like a chore at times. I'd give the game a solid 7/10.
