If war is the closest we get to hell on earth, it's because Earth harbours the worst of demons: humankind. In an isolated country ravaged by infighting, discover the secrets of your past and deal with the repercussions of a mysterious calamity.

About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.'' – Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, Creative Director

Reviews
Fantastic narrative, especially in todays world. Writers went Hard.
Hell is Us is a clever, mature take on the "souls-like" modern action game, with some of the core philosophies of retro games. It's a game that treats you like an adult and respects your inteligence. It has one of the greatest art directions of recent years, one that proves that graphics are compatible with style, and a perfect sound design from soundtrack to ambient and enemy sounds. Highly recommend.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Hell is us — 10/10 Best NPCs I've ever seen, hands down. You actually talk to them, watch them react to everything going on, and every single character has their own take on the events. Feels so alive. The story is incredible. The lore is something you dig up yourself piece by piece and it's so worth it. The puzzles hit perfectly. Going in blind was the best decision I made. No spoilers from me. Just play it. One of the best games I've ever touched. 🔥
Незвичайна штука, досить цікаво грається не без мінусів звичайно але прикольно
Incredible game, Dark Souls meets Stranger Things meets Geometry Wars, I guess, lol.

Bought it during 2026 summer sale, only played for about 2 hours but holy moly is this impressive. So far loving absolutely everything about it. Especially how the game handles a much more free way of exploring the world. Excited to play more!
probably one of the most underrated games to have come out last year and its a shame it took me so long to actually play the game. the combat is fun although the gap between tier 2 enemies and tier 3 is a bit two high at first but it gets better as you upgrade but the transition from tier 2 to tier 3 enemies is extremely noticeable. The world building is genuinely incredible and the best part of the story. One thing that people probably wont like is the fact that most of the time the game will not handhold you and paying attention to the world and npc's is needed to actually progress. this may be why a lot of people to not engage with the game but honestly its what makes the game feel so alive. You have to actually engage with the game and the story to know what to do and what is going on and that truly is what made this game stand out for me. overall its an amazing game all things considered
8/10 Fantastic game, a great showcase of the developer's talents trying a new genre and setting outside of the Warhammer universe. I feel like the game is a great set-up for a sequel both in terms of story and gameplay. They made a good foundation with the mechanics they implemented and it can only get better in their next title, whether it is a Hell is Us 2 or maybe even another dip into the Warhammer setting. Total game time is not indicative of time played, definitely went AFK a time or two (or four) playing. More closer to 40ish hours with 100% completion. Outside of using a walkthrough I was able to find about 90% of the total items by myself, only one or two puzzles stumped me in the moment which was actually somewhat refreshing in my opinion. The developers did not over-scope the game which I thought was good. I also enjoyed hearing the English VA again for this role I think he did quite well. Also I think the devs were big fans of FF3/FF6....? Pretty sure I saw the names Terra, Locke, Sabin, Gau, and Celes...I see you devs.
