It's fine, shows it's age. Music is finicky, it'll be gone for a few puzzles then randomly return and the sliders don't do a lot for the volume. Can be buggy if you try and click through solving the investigation part too soon, a restart should fix it. Watch the opening before the menu to know what's going on.
Gameplay was bad, music horrible and sounds gave me a headache.
On enchaîne les SOC, et c'est tout. Pas intéressant.
Haunted Hotel II: Believe the Lies is a slight improvement over the original game, but it still has issues that prevent it from being a fun time. The plot keeps the players' attention more, but still makes little sense. A removed timer and no repetition in locations is an improvement, yet on the other hand, this makes the sequel generally shorter than the original, while the developers make up for the repetition of the original by making players hunt for too many hidden objects in this game. Poor resolution screens will not make object hunting any easier. Also, ‘believe the lies’? What lies? It feels as though something got lost in translation, or maybe it got thrown through time.
Unlike the previous game I was able to finish it and it wasn't the same puzzles over and over again, but the story is basically non-existent and there are so many better Hidden Object Games out there. If you buy it on steam and are looking for a game that is just hidden objects over and over and over again, then I guess get this game?
Bought the Haunted Hotel games bundle on sale and started playing them in order. The first one is pretty boring and slow with a million typos but this one is a whole lot better, and it includes more puzzles in addition to the tradition hidden object lists. I was surprised though at how short the game is. But overall it is a nice, spooky story and a bit of fun.
I enjoyed the game, charming animation between HOGs.
