my fav childhood game
good rpg.does crash sometimes
It really is a really simple RTS, that can be picked up and played with little to no prior experience needed. Its decent, nothing groundbreaking, it does the job and its still rough around the edges sometimes, it really shows its age from time to time. However, it can be bought for incredibly cheap on sale, and even though that it really is a short game that can be completed on one sittingg (around 5-6 hrs) if you like halo it shows a bit more of lore that you might enjoy. I had fond memories of this game from when i was a kid playing on my 360, so i am clearly biased, but it really doesnt hurt to try it.
As someone who isn't a massive strategy game guy this game is perfect. A babies first strategy game with simple mechanics and the cherry on top is the halo setting. A campaign with some of the best cutscenes in the entire halo franchise, with a story on top years before the start of reach. A true masterpiece that goes up as one of the best halo games ever made

I was able to play all 3 of the OG halo games without having to change apps!
This game is awesome, must-buy if you enjoy Halo + RTS games!
Simply a great game. Halo Wars: Definitive Edition is proof that you can make a fantastic real-time strategy (RTS) game set in a beloved sci-fi universe. There’s no need to overcomplicate it—it is just an incredibly fun, polished, and solid game from start to finish. Whether you are a hardcore Halo fan or just someone who loves strategy games, this spin-off nails the atmosphere perfectly. The campaign is engaging, the cinematic cutscenes are gorgeous, and the base-building and combat mechanics are smooth and easy to get into. It might not have the extreme, overwhelming complexity of some other PC strategy games, but that's actually part of its charm. It gets straight to the fun part: building your army, controlling Spartans, and blasting the Covenant. 9/10 — No complaints here. It is just a genuinely great game that holds up amazingly well.
When compared to games like StarCraft or Age of Empires 4, Halo Wars is certainly different and much more simple than what one might initially expect, but while base building leaves a lot to be desired, and pathing can be an irritating frustration, it's nonetheless a solid RTS experience to play through for its decent cinematic campaign and the joy of living out your franchise fantasies.
Me gustó el modo de juego, un poco complicado al principio si no conoces esta mecanica pero ya va fluyendo. Interesante
