EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™

I only play this because I love this style of golf game, and I got it very cheap. This game was clearly never finished. The UI is awkward. You can't find all your stats. The commentators think you are a new, winless player every season. There are no replays, just dramatic heartbeat slo-mo on long putts and very close approaches and strong drives. But the physics are good. I found the joysticks too awkward but I may try them again, because even on hardest mode in 3 click, I can win every tournament. It stutters. Sometimes button presses are delayed and I have to exit the round and reenter. I would never play against others because the servers seem sparse and flaky. Delays and banners and long intros get old fast. This is an ad for the PGA more than a sincere effort at well-rounded game.

What in seven hells is this? I got this game at a deep discount for both my wife and I (2 copies), but we cannot play a private match using our own created golfers??? WHAT? We have been playing Rory McIroy on the Xbox where we both can select our golfers and play against CPU golfers... We figured this was the updated game from RM game and the is the main reason why we bought this game, so we can play online together! I can use my golfer, but she has to pick a pro... how lazy is this? That is just awful. I cannot believe before this sale, EA is charging $70 for this game.. that is just nuts!

I am obligated to recommend this game. As much as I deter the thought of genuinely recommending this game to any reasonable person, I must. EA SPORTS PGA TOUR is easily the most frustrating game in my library. It is mostly broken, and playing simple online multiplayer with your friends is a headache you WILL have to figure out mostly on your own. On top of that its EA. It is the most EA product of ALL TIME. However, Once you do get past all the hurdles, you are left with a reasonably fine golf simulator. The course selection is fantastic and the environments are great. Gameplay wise the game is fine, probably a 7/10 -3 points for not allowing full club selection. (or at least making that impossible to find). If you enjoy professional golf, enjoy playing golf, then you will appreciate this game. As a couch game, its honestly a 10/10. A couple of beers, passing the controller around on pebble beach is a great friday night.

Do not buy this game not even if it is on sale you will spend more time trying to reconnect to servers than actually playing the game and no one is doing anything to try and fix this problem

It's not great, but it's the best we got. Definitely miss Tiger Woods 09.

Yeah, they aren't really updating it anymore, but this one still holds up and if all you want to do is hop in and play some golf, it handles that very well. Turned all the way up in career, you can expect the AI to shoot about -8 per round which is a decent amount of challenge. Still a very pretty game visually, too.

I just finished reading a post from a gamer having the same problem I was having. The game was not reading some of my controller inputs. And yes, I checked the controller with another game and it's working fine. What a disappointment. I remember the fun I had playing Tiger Woods Golf 05, 06 and 07 on my old Play Stations... oh well.

Game has no feel. EA is gonna sunset the servers within the year anyway and will become a demo. not worth a penny. TGC 2019 was triple the game this is. also no practice range? Crashes in the insanely sluggish menus every 3 minutes and my controller stops being recognized mid game. I get max 30fps no matter what settings. Last 2k game I ever buy and will be returning this... awful gameplay with an awful greedy company
