About
Immerse yourself in the history of Ancient Egypt with 50 missions in Pharaoh™: A New Era, a remake of Pharaoh (and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile), one of the best city builders from the golden age of Sierra Entertainment. Stone by stone, build your city and manage all aspects of its development to ensure it prospers and makes you a powerful and revered pharaoh.

Develop your city by cultivating the fertile lands along the banks of the Nile valley. Erect the iconic monuments of Ancient Egypt, including the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Build temples and mausoleums to help manage all aspects of your city's health and culture as well as the predominant polytheistic religion of the time.
Ensure your city is prosperous enough to deal with economic or political crises, or even plundering by enemies. A pharaoh takes care of its people and does whatever it can to earn the favour of the gods.

Pharaoh™: A New Era celebrates 20 years since the release of the famous franchise with a complete remake, including more than 50 playable missions and over 100 hours of gameplay.
The "Campaign" mode teaches you the game basics while allowing you to experience a unique story in the heart of Ancient Egypt. Explore all aspects of life in a thriving city, build and manage all its fundamental elements to ensure it flourishes: the economy, internal and external trade, culture, health, agriculture, education, etc.

The journey back in time is really brought to life with this new version, which upgrades the gameplay mechanics to modern standards and completely redesigns the captivating soundtrack and gorgeous isometric 2D graphics.
Many indicators have also been added or improved: keep better track of the frequency or quality of the Nile's floods with the Nilometer, or don't lose sight of your population's mood with some unique new tools!

This game is still buggy and looks like the development has ceased,
I bought this because I loved the original and was eager to see some improvements. The only good things are the choice for global employment and the ability to zoom out on the map. The ridiculous changes made to the combat mechanic have made my favourite custom mission (Fortress Kerma) unplayable. No matter how big your army is, your soldiers just throw themselves onto the enemy's weapons and die, leaving you defeated. I cannot believe the game was released in this state.
even if you are god of egypt have all money in the world you will still have to wait for sandstone(220,240), marble(?) and while you are waiting about 100y for it to stack up the lack features of original game/gameplay change(military combat ,event loop trigger, crime wave) and bombarding pop-up every few min/sec to pause your game make this not fun to play at all also police is 90% useless now (can't kill hostile animals , 80% will not catch thief (force event)) you need much less worker to get the thing done compare to original game god don't get mad every x sec if you don't keep checking on them anymore tax feel worthless to collect(where is tax evasion move from original game?) for those who dare just try it and feel the suffer! you better off with other game (ex.they are billions) which would be 10x better then this and please try out original game if you still like this game after all of this.
I love the original Pharaoh, and I would have loved to leave this game a positive review. Unfortunately, I just cannot. The game is simply too buggy with popups locking themselves out and strange nonfunctionality, the new military system is terrible, and the UI is a huge step down visually from the original. Go buy the original games on GOG for a much better experience.
Sad to say that this does not even come close to the old Caesar 3 game. Yes, a game from 98' has more life, better UI and overall feels much better to play than whatever this is. I did like the hand-drawn cinematics. 1/10
It takes days for me to complete 1 mission even if i play somewhere between 4-5 hours a day. The game is about managing given resources and utilising them effectively to achieve your objectives. I love this game and It is very addictive, Time flies if i start playing this game. I would definitely recommend this game.
I was a little concerned going into this game as I am a massive original Pharoh fan, i played sooo mucch of it when i was young, BUT this game is almost perfect. Its the game I love with a few quality of life improvements and its fantastic. There have been many HD remakes of games that just dont wory but this isnt one of them. Amazing game now with HD GFX awsome. There are a few things I have noticed that are different to the original but they are very small - The police done kill the crocodiles?? im pretty sure they did in the original - The bazar delivery ladies take items from the granry / storage that they dont need. For example i could be at the start of the game and they are taking treasure from the storage yard. Pretty sure they only took what they needed at that current housing level in the original. - I used to build the houses 4 tiles across with roads on either side in the original but that dosnt work in this version i have to do rows of 2. Not a big deal i very quickly adapted but its just something i noticed. - All the walls / towers are pointless in this version with the change in combat system right? as no troops attack the city. This are very small problems in what is a fantastic remake.
Absolutely not playable. When it first came out I could at least start the game and try to play it but today I was just stuck in menu twice. Lagging like hell and game just stops working only by me clicking options button or start game and forcing me to hard restart the computer. Kind of waste of money if you can't even play the game.
Сама по себе игра хороша, но покуда не будет официального русского языка (который изначально разрабатывался, но не был закончен), оценка будет отрицательной.
