The multiplayer is impossible
Genuinely baffled at the reviews this game has. The game has issues, but it is nowhere near what the most vocal of reviewers are claiming. My biggest complaint is that the flood are buggy and disappear when shot at times and that the game was made easier with the inclusion of the Halo 2 health system and sprint. Yes, the prequel missions are forgettable. Big deal. It's still Halo, it looks amazing, plays extremely well, and we can replay the campaign missions with randomizers with friends. I don't know about you, but that's what I used to dream of when I was a kid.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

#BOYCOTT. BOYCOTTEZ.**
I am typically a positive review guy. I tend to look at what i enjoy about most games, and not so much at what i dont like. But, every dog has his day, and today is that day for this big dog. I will start with what i liked and enjoyed: - The game is beautiful. The UE5 graphics are at full display and breathes fresh life into a 25 year old game. - It feels like modern halo. the gunplay is fun and satisfying. the sandbox is fun and interactive, just as i remember when i was younger. Now, here are my problems: - As it is currently, there are literally 0 achievement based skins to earn, or really anything other than steam achievements. To expect players to be satisfied with basically just playing the campaign over and over with nothing to work towards or play for, is just crazy. this is HALO and if they really wanted to reboot the franchise with the community in mind, then this should at least been near the top of things to include. major ball dropped. - The lack of pvp multiplayer, in the big 2026, is actually a criminal offense. The most basic of basic game modes, like Team Deathmatch or a Free for All would have done just fine. Peer 2 Peer networking. EZPZ. But to not include anything with a supposed reboot of the franchise is unacceptable. Co-op will only last for so long before everyone is so bored they'd rather swallow a plasma cannon. I - The game that is currently being presented feels like a giant corporate cash grab, and we already know halo 2 remastered is coming. If their main selling point is playing the campaign again in with a brand new coat of paint, even if it's incredibly beautiful, is just not enough. for the price, i find it ridiculous as to what's on offer. Incredibly disappointing, Halo deserves better,
Its the same halo game we have played before with no real changes that set it apart from the original halo except the bonus missions. They aren't that good because of a poorly written character. I wish they had change some of the levels and added more to the game since its a remake of a game that already got a remaster. Halo: CE remaster 2 Good graphics is all I can really say about this game
The only thing i can really find "good" about this game, is the graphics, the new way the Maw warthog drive is, and the newly designed flood missions. Other than that.... nothing else is really "good". The gun play is average. The gun sound design is off from what it used to be. this game hand holds WAY too much. "Hey these invisible might be too difficult for people to try and kill. lets put MARKERS over their heads so the players know where the camouflaged enemies are!". its just a two decade old reskinned game with lots of hand holding. Like cool, they added vehicle jacking, but the ruined the OG Magnum. i'd rather the magnum being the beast it was. i paid $100 (CAD) for the early access premium edition of an old game thats missing HALF the content (ALL THE MULTIPLAYER IS GONE). i cannot justify this price tag for what you get when you could easily get Halo MCC with ALL the games for 50 bucks. thats base price mind you. This game is at best, 20 bucks. anything over is a rip off. oh and P.S. apparently a lot of the code is just reused from other games. someone modded the reach jetback in easily since all the base code is still in the game.
I wish I had played the new missions first, so that I could have refunded immediately. There's either ai generated content in the final product, or they spent every second on visual detail, and zero thought on anything else. This was a scam. One of four games I have ever uninstalled from my pc, and the only one that was uninstalled for reasons other than making space for other stuff. And I've done myself a favor and hidden it on my steam games library to be reminded of it's existence as little as possible.
Do not be fooled by the negative reviews. This is the best way to play Halo Combat Evolved. It is a faithful recreation of the original and it absolutely nails the atmosphere imo. Graphics are on point, performance is decent for UE5 and the gunplay is top. Yes some lines do come across a bit wonky and Johnson looks like Steve Harvey, but this is the best way to experience Halo CE.
Disappointing. The only redeeming quality is the updated graphics. For a remake, this isn't worth more than 20 bucks IMO. Wait for sale or get it on gamepass.
