Reviews
The game itself is fine. The main problem is that it does not allow you to play offline. Had I known I needed to be connected to the internet all the time I would not have bought it. Thus, I can not recommend this game
If you want dinos and a bit of story-this game is for you Sure, the campaign is worse than in jwe1, but, it has much more dinosaurs, it has lagoons and aviaries, it has MUCH more decorative options If you want a purely sandbox game-jwe 3 If you want a story-go for jwe1 If you want a mix of both, this is your choice! Overall-10/10 game, it's just amazing
Generally pretty enjoyable but without DLC creative builds can get pretty stale
Забавний тайкун навіть з оригінальними персонажами з фільму та озвучкою. Сподобалось 👍
IsraelGPT please generate me a videogame that our brave IDF soldiers and men under 400 testosterone will HATE but men with Turanid phenotype and over 400 testosterone will absolutely LOVE. *Generating... scanning ancient Tel-Aviv database... searching lost disciples from the library of Babylon... cooling off Tel-Aviv database with Isreali grown fig wines.... generation completed. Your videogame is Jurassic World Evolution 2.*
I have to say, the first mission is extraordinarily difficult to figure out what the hell you're supposed to do. I don't know what the devs were thinking on this one. It's honestly shocking to me at this point this game has a sequel. I don't know anybody figured out what to do
If you liked the first Jurassic World Evolution, this is basically the same but worse. I don't see any improvements except a few more dinosaurs and slightly different buildings. The pace, mechanics, flow, and strategic elements are all ruined compared to the first.
A thousand little things combine to make this a miserable micromanagement experience. I rage quit after watching 3 helicopters completely fail to tranq a loose dino as it ravished my park, instantly bankrupting me. Absolutely every little QoL nugget has to be researched by RNG scientists you'd rather have doing other things. I could go on for a while about minor annoyances. According to some fans, what I'm complaining about is "skill differential" or "the challenge" and I should get gud at dealing with and working around these things. I guess it takes skill to wait for task queues to clear up so you can one-by-one tranq dinos because you need to upgrade their pen -- oops two dinos are too close to the fence; it won't let you build so now you have to transport them to the middle -- but transport means the dinos will automatically awaken which means you have to tranq them again and -- oh look, the heli chased them back near the fence so you have to do it all over again. If only the upgrade to allow more tasks in your queue wasn't hidden behind a research wall to make you feel "progress". (There's no simple action to tranq dinos btw. You tap "R" then click on whatever capture unit you're presented with, hoping it's the closest one, then click multi-select, then click each selection, then click finalize selection, then for each dino selected click a destination... you can't drop a whole group at once, that would be too simple.) At the same time -- as much as you want QoL upgrades, there are just too many other practical targets for research, so you end up dealing with these issues until you have the luxury, or until you rage quit like I did before 30 hours. I didn't find the genome splicing stuff very engaging, although on the surface it's really cool. I just couldn't be bothered to care about things like "smaller appetite" or "less territorial" -- it's really quite easy to keep dinos happy, and your prey budget is NOT why your income sucks. Splicing and park appeal can just be min/maxed. The real dinosaur in the room is that the dinosaurs are so small on the screen most of the time (for that matter I wish I could zoom out even further -- the game's zoom out limit is not far enough) that what is even the point of playing a dinosaur game? Who cares how cool the compys look - they might as well be fleas. (I guess you're supposed to get into the POV of park guests and employees more often? Stop and smell the roses? Okay but there's a storm literally every 10 minutes and 20 things I need to accomplish right now!) So does park aesthetic make up for dinos being tiny outlines most of the time? Not really, no, the buildings are so same-y it's hard to even remember what does what hours into gameplay, and the decorations have no practical effect on park appeal. BRB, going to redo my entire park since I got the research to get rid of power lines, long after integrating a vast power line network into my park..... edit: typos
