Changing the color of your armor is a microtransaction that costs real money. I can really just stop the review there.
This game helped as a child when my parents were going through a divorce. It's helping me now when I'm going through a divorce. I hope this helps you when you go through a divorce.
Campaign is fine, multiplayer is hot garbage. Nobody plays except for try-hard veterans that never stopped since 2001 and because the game is practically dead there is no such thing as skill based matchmaking. Game after game after game, losing due to other team having 1-2 players dominating the entire match going 40 - 0. Personal opinion too but I miss the customization of Reach. Militaristic and dark, everyone actually looking like soldiers. Now it's pristine condition barbie dolls.

Inconsistent is the best way to put the experience of this game. It's a cool concept hampered by some baffling design choices and serious technical flaws. To start, I get that this is essentially designed as a multiplayer experience. But it shouldn't take me sitting through three two-minute plus loading screen just to get into the campaign because it's nested three menus deep. The optimization is garbage. If it has to rebuild the shader cache every time I play something is seriously wrong. There is more but this is the biggie for me. The gun play and map conquest stuff is awesome. If you remove all the technical garbage and the fact that they skinsuited Halo to make it I would 10/10 recommend. My only issue with the way the actual gameplay feels is that the vehicle weapons feel anemic compared to previous Halo games. Then there's the story, writing and dialogue. Who boy, where to begin? Halo 1, 2, 3 and Reach and the extended universe around them is some of the best military sci-fi put to paper/bits. This isn't just nostalgia talking, this stuff holds up. My god the writing in this one is awful, it's shameful that this game carries the Halo name. The story is disjointed, the cutscenes make no sense, and the dialogue goes from utter nonsense to actually making what little story there is harder to understand. The side characters are whiny and the millenial snark humor is nauseating. And what is up with the AI chick? Is the point to actually loathe any cutscene she appears in? Did anyone on the writing team actually play this game? Just for the lore/story stuff this one is a no from me. I got it on sale but I still feel like I over payed. We are past end stage Halo, the universe ended with 3/Reach and It's time to put the final nail in it.
Solid game but I'm really disappointed that XBOX let this game starve. It felt so relieving to see the Bungie art style back. This game had so much potential
"lets make an incomplete game and label it "live service" then not update it for a year and watch all our playerbase leave"- 343
Halo Infinite is a bit of a strange piece of the series It first tried to be some kind of establishment for a reboot that would return the series to its roots, but at the same it did not really heal the wounds that 343 had made. Halo Infinite had a rocky development, but then it was made into a open world game instead. The graphics wasn't really healed that much from the ludicrous trailer that it had Its not good, but its not bad either. It has this feeling of games at the time, where they would look very blurry because of the heavy reliance on AI upscaling. The multiplayer wasn't really improved, it didn't really have anything new to bring like Warzone from Halo 5. Infinite was even missing COOP and Firefight, which is a stable for the series A lot of the modes in Infinite feels like its really just thrown together, and not really scripted correctly. It feels loveless, characters feels empty and they are trying to cater to an audience that does not exist But the way it was created however is not something can be looked away, it was really bad at the start of the game, like colors being locked behind paywalls. While this still is the case, it was toned down to cosmetic options for the game, so most of the normal colors should be available from the get go now. But Infinite still is very not user friendly and opens the game a lot with monetization's attempts. Opening the game for the first time, after adjusting the brightness will flash you with microtransaction ads This creates a very bad experience, where a lot of this feels forced upon from what should just be a easy to go multiplayer experience instead Infinites Singleplayer is where is shines a bit better. It was interesting to see a open world singleplayer, but it will feel very lackluster. This is due to that a lot of what was planned was cut later on in the games development, like Human settlements on the ring and certain big outposts that could be explored. Infinites singleplayer experience is a lot of repeatable missions, that does not really feel unique. I appreciate the fact that they added a bit of content that you could find throughout the campaign, it is fun to find these cases with unlockable cosmetics in them However i do not think you are missing out on this Halo The Singleplayer is ok and the Multiplayer is lackluster
Well well, finally its time to cover this game as well. I waited to replay all the other titles so i can understand the story better. Overall I liked the story, I thought the antagonists in this title are a little boring and I don´t care about them at all. There are also way too many audio logs, and they are hidden as well - so you have to constantly scan for them. And I started to not care about the at at all. The open world is ok, but the game really shines when you are playing the story mode. The combat is great, and grapple hook is a great addition to Master Chief arsenal. The graphics are great, and the game runs well. This review is only for the singleplayer - since I don´t care about the multiplayer at all.
While I've yet to beat the campaign, I have played the multiplayer for quite some time, and I am about 65% through the story, too. The game is fine, and the only reason why I stopped playing was due to having the difficulty too high, and honestly struggling with the bosses. I did eventually overcome it, but I was in the mode for the story itself, hence why I double dipped and got this on Steam (I was originally playing it on my Series X). I decided to do my harder run on the Series X, and run Infinite on Normal mode through Steam, so I can experience the story. From what I have played, it is a good time, and when the story gets good, it gets pretty good. The multiplayer is like classic Halo, too, which only adds to the fun; it is too bad that the population is so low, though, as it can be hard to find matches for ranked modes. As I continue playing, I will be sure to update my review!
Gameplay is fine. The grappling hook is fun, but it takes away what makes halo so fun in the first place. Boss fight are annoying waste of time. Overall balance change is good. The worst part of the game is probably the story. The story is just plain nothing. I feel nothing and I got nothing. The graphics looks a bit muddy when in the open world as well. 6/10 game
