Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

Yes.. this game is very old but it means it is also very cheap and it is also very easy to run on any modern computer. I wasn't sure if flying sims are for me so this is a great way to try it out. I`m loving this. I don't care about the graphics I care about getting a true sense of what feels like to fly a plane and this game is achieving that.

[b] Graphics are junk [/b] cause this game is basically prehistoric but it is [b] very fun [/b] Easy to find free mods online and there are loads of cool DLCs you should not buy. Comes with tons of planes and airports so its decent without mods and there are lots of missions as well. Does not work at all on Steam Deck or Linux Mint for me so you need to have W*ndows for it to work.

I've got older and newer games that just run. This one has 10 different ways it breaks. I'm spending more time just getting the game to launch most days. Delete the logbook.bin file, run in compatibility mode. make sure steam is ran as administrator. Oh still wont run thinking steam is not running....finally made it past that prompt now stuck in splash load screen......finally loaded get .2 hours of flight. Game Crashed start process all over. 176 hours game played.....if 150 hours of just getting the game to launch counts.

been playing for almost 20 years. highly recommend, especially if your pc isnt powerful enough for FS24. hundreds of thousands of addons and tools to dial in the sim. to your liking.
