The game looks great without sacrificing playability. There are enough changes to the maps to make it fun and not just a repainted version of an old friend.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

i had fun
Me encantaron las tres misiones extras, ahora voy por la increíble campaña que ya conocemos.
It does have its issues but it is generally an improvement over the original Anniversary version and I did have fun playing through it. Gameplay I highly appreciated the level redesigns to make many parts of the game less of a slog than the original. I never liked fighting the Flood since I hate the gameplay loop of fighting zombies, so even though the AI is dumber, I like not having to deal with them as much. The weapon sandbox additions were awesome and remixed version lets me fight with weapons I love like the Needle Rifle. The Brutes are not as good to fight as 3, but a bit better than the bullet sponges of 2. I agree with some that the Bonus Missions have too many repeated large firefights; so it's ironic that they would remove the slog of the original levels but make sluggish missions themselves. Graphics I'm honestly not a fan of Unreal Engine. It is beautiful, yes, but in the wrong hands (like the first timers of Halo Studios), it's just too badly optimized. Other modern engines give just as beautiful graphics without demanding so much VRAM. I also don't like the forced chromatic aberrations and depth of field that make everything have a look of "natural blurriness" regardless of settings. Putting engine and optimization gripes aside, the game is really just awe inspiringly beautiful and I can't wait to see Halo 2 and 3 in all their glory as well. I just hope they either improve their optimization or go back to Infinite's engine since I just can't trust them with using UE well enough. Story The original is the same and I don't have the nostalgia glasses to be annoyed at the redesigns and line changes. For example, Cortana seemed fine to me even though they made her lean towards Infinite's Weapon's personality. Contextual additions were a welcome sight with many in gameplay lines that add quite a lot to the lore. The bonus missions have a fine enough story, though I think there was a missed opportunity with the Prophet of Harmony as his whole schtick was improving the races of the Covenant, so not having a single Prelate to fight was just sad. I did not find Williams as annoying but I do see the default girl boss character they made her out to be; using the ODSTs disdain of the Spartan program as an excuse. Still, they were fine missions to play through. Music No contest. The soundtrack is as glorious as ever, and hearing many remastered tracks from Halo 2 in the bonus missions was just amazing. No ODST is as iconic as Halo's. All in all, it's definitely not worth the premium price and probably not worth the base price either. I would wait for a sale that should be coming pretty fast considering it's mixed reception, but once you get it, you will have a very nice weekend of fun to experience for the first time or re-experience the glory that is Halo.
Excelente remake.
Is it worth buying, in my opinion yes but absolutely wait for a sale. if you've never picked up halo before it's great but if you grew up on it like I did it's kinda disappointing. the new voice acting is meh at best and I really wish they had taken the original voice acting and polished it up rather that re-casting. Johnson looks like Steve Harvey and I cannot unsee it. the new dialog between John and Cortana feels......stilted, like they recorded their lines separately and were given totally different line directions. the gameplay is great but the new bright explosions and armor colors in a dark room almost feel like I'm being flashbanged. I really enjoyed the race to escape the Pillar. the ai human troops are kinda wonky and seem to have problems getting into the warthog at times. dear god sprinting is amazing and a long overdue addition without needing a special power to use it like in Reach.
Buggy at start but seems to have improved. The graphic overhaul is impressive. They added some modern QoL features but kept it feeling similar to the original.
