The reason I am not recommending this game is because on Linux there is a glitch that has been reported to Valve since 2013, and they are ignoring it or just don't care to fix it for some reason. The game opens on the left-most screen and ignores the primary display. [url=https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/823] First issue in jan 2013 [/url][url=https://github.com/ValveSoftware/halflife/issues/7] Second issue in feb 2013 still open [/url] The second issue still receives comments from people experiencing the problem and trying to find a solution, with some even giving the devs the solution on how to fix it in Oct 2025. To test if it was true, I downloaded the game and hex-edited the game's binary to pass the "correct" values according to the issue, and it literally fixed it. This means that the devs at Valve knew about this issue for years and simply didn't care to implement it or to simply add an extra command or launch option command, since they don't "want" to change the default behavior. They know about the issue and simply choose to ignore it. If you want to have a better experience with this game, just play Xash3D, which rebuilt the engine; you just need to get the Valve assets from your Steam version of the game.

this might be the best games i played... because this is one of the most nostalgic and the first ever games ive played good job Valve!!!! i wish you could count till 3 :____)
