Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 7 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

great game from my childhood.
greatest game to exist, ignore the gameplay tho
not really
Yes, I know I have played only 3 hours. But it feels like I have been playing this game for 3 months. I have never played any .hack, so there is no nostalgia here. I found this game in my library by chance. I probably bought it on sale and instantly forgot about it, like most of my library. I gave it a try last night. What a freaking slog.. The cutscenes are nearly Kojima level, lengthwise. But the writing is so bad and immature.. I have the feeling that there is a good story here and I think there is an anime which I am willing to watch instead of playing this. Everyone talks vvveeerrrrryyyy sssssslllllllooooooow for some reason. The rehash what the just said a millisecond ago. And this makes every cutscene to last a thousand times longer than they should be. Unfortunately, there is not an option to skip the dialog lines but only the whole scene (except from one time). I have played for 3 hours and I am pretty sure that I used the controller to actually play for maximum 30 minutes. Oh, I also had to read a lot of text via emails and forum posts which were very immersive and I would like it if it didn't add to the fact that I wasn't playing the game. The protagonist is a straight up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and a complete idiot. He wants to revenge his online girlfriend by finding the one who put her into a coma. He fails. Then he meets an "admin" that tells him that he is the chosen one because he has the an ability that very few selected players have. This "admin" is either bullshitting him or none of this makes any sense. Did he have this hidden power before failing? If yes, then why didn't they contact him earlier? Did he obtain the power after failing? Then he is not chose by anyone because it happened by accident.... Anyway, the protagonist replies in the most asinine way. He says he doesn't care about any of this! All he wants is to exact his revenge. You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumbass, he is giving you the way to do exactly that! Why are you being so dismissive? Two minutes later the protagonist has a chat with the guy who invited him in their guild so he can meet the "admin". The protagonist asks a question. The other guy replies. The protagonist replies with "whatever". WTF is wrong with you, you little brat?? Who the ♥♥♥♥ talks like that? That was the moment that I sincerely hoped he would fail in his quest. And to make that happen, I quit the game so he can go ♥♥♥♥ himself in oblivion. I can't comment on the game itself. After all the game didn't let me actually play at all.
We need more .hack. Bandai please! :(
The gameplay and pacing are quite dated by now, but the aesthetics and sincerity shine through. The fake forum posts are awesome and make me nostalgic for a bygone era. Long live Blue Eyed Samurai
