Having sunk 3,000+ hours across The Division 1 and The Division 2 on multiple platforms, I've officially crossed the line from "player" into "Department of Homeland Security employee." At this point, I'm not reviewing the game, I'm filing an after-action report. At this point I don't know if I own The Division or if The Division owns me. Pros: -One of the best atmosphere and world designs Ubisoft has ever created. -Snow-covered New York in Division 1 is still unmatched. -The Dark Zone can provide some of the most intense PvP moments you'll ever experience. -Loot goblin brain gets constant dopamine hits. -Great co-op experience with friends. -You'll tell yourself "just one more mission" and suddenly it's 2 AM. -I can identify gear brands faster than real clothing brands. Cons: -You'll spend 45 minutes sorting inventory to gain a 0.7% damage increase. -The Dark Zone will occasionally remind you that trust is a mistake. -You'll develop strong opinions about backpacks and knee pads. -Your friends will hear the words "agent requesting backup" more than their own family members. I have spent entire weekends farming for gear pieces that increased my damage by approximately the same amount as a firm handshake. I have stared at spreadsheets for builds more complicated than my actual work responsibilities. If you're considering jumping into either Division 1 or Division 2, do yourself a favour and give them a shot. Few games have managed to keep me coming back for thousands of hours. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to dismantle 347 high-end items because one of them might have slightly better stats.
I'll be honest - the only thing that keeps me hooked on this game is the atmosphere. That snowy, desolate New York City is absolutely breathtaking. The visuals, the sound design, the little stories told through abandoned apartments and scattered notes... it's pure immersion. And the music? Man, that song on the radio, "Gone to Sleep," is absolutely perfect for this world. It's haunting, emotional, and fits the mood of a city falling apart perfectly. That track alone got me every single time it played. The mission design, though? Classic "go here, grab that, come back" routine. Lazy and repetitive. But here's what really stings. This game is basically dead now. The online population is tiny, and finding random teammates is next to impossible. I don't have any friends to squad up with, so I went in solo, fully knowing what I was getting into. And let me tell you, it's rough. Enemies are bullet sponges, you get swarmed constantly, and the difficulty is clearly balanced for a full team. Playing alone feels like an uphill battle from start to finish. And yet, despite all that, I actually love this game. I keep coming back to it. Not for the quests, not for the combat, but for that world and that music. They pull me in every time, no matter how frustrating the rest gets. Yeah, I suffer through it, but somehow I still enjoy the ride.
Прошли с другом Марюсом! Кайфанули! Отличная игра! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3215421560
This game is amazing a masterpiece! speaking about this franchise, I've only played Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, I'll definitely play all of them. The graphics are beautiful, the gameplay is flawless, the story is beautiful, it's amazing how they made Manhattan just like irl o.O such a great work. You'll eventually lvl up during the gameplay, you can loot, buy and sell your weapons, armor, gloves, etc. You have special bullets, you can upgrade your weapons everything, put silencer, muzzle, more magazine, you name it. My friends it has so many missions and side quests.... also you can help the civilians and kill some thugs, you've special skills and you can upgrade them as well, I'm lvl 5 right now. Everything about this game is beautiful, the shooting is so realistic, you making the missions on hard is quite difficult lol you're going to die like 5 to 7 times xD but you get more credits, money, etc. So I highly recommend you playing the missions on HARD. Also you can join a match or quickmatch. There's so many possibilities... you have nades, flash, etc. Also you can carry 3 weapons. Also upgrade them in every way you can imagine, buy new weapons, clothes, armor, etc. There's so many things that I'd like to tell about this game, I'm just starting. =D I'm loving this game so damn much! ^_^ Restore order and rebuild New York City after a devastating pandemic in this tactical open world third-person shooter. Tactical Combat Engage enemies in intense, cover-based firefights where smart positioning and utility usage win battles. Deep Gear Progression Loot, craft, and upgrade weapons and armor to build the ultimate agent for your playstyle. Immersive Open World Dynamic weather, day/night cycles, and realistic urban environments create an immersive survival experience in post-apocalyptic Manhattan’s most iconic neighborhoods. Solo or Co-op Tackle story missions alone or team up online with up to three other agents for seamless co-op play. Robust Endgame Push your loadout to the limit and take on the toughest challenges for endgame-level gear. Put your agent to the test in high-risk activities like the Dark Zone, a PvP and PvE environment where the best loot and the greatest betrayals await. PERFECTION! Tom Clancy’s The Division 10/10 without a doubt! Heisen
Unbalanced as hell for solo play, do not recommend as a solo player. Developers neve thought about solo players.
Jogo muito bom, eu sei q já é velho, só conseguir compra um PC bom agora e estou podendo testar os jogos, e estou curtindo, ainda n vi nada de BUG que prejudique o jogo. Mas é claro essa é uma opinião minha.
In short: This is an open world 3rd person looter shooter, while not the most original idea, the execution makes The Division stands out on its own though its setting, music and timeless visuals. The tone of the game is very cut and dry. A widespread pandemic hit New York, the pandemic was unlike anything the world had faced eroding the entire system, which caused society to collapse. Your character is part of the Strategic Homeland Division, something like a civilian militia that is called when every other recourse fails. Their motto “Extremis Malis, Extremis Remedia”, their mission is to restore order and the perpetuation of government. Long version: Quick Note: I wrote this in June 2026 and I had to issue finding other players and people to play with. This is a game carried first and foremost by its presentation. The game is set in a deep cold Winter in New York and Massive created such an amazing spectacle with these series. Unlike every other open world game that kinda feels the same in the sense that barely any of them knows how to fill in the world (namely Starfield), what sets The Division apart is that it’s very committed with the veracity of the setting it presents, which is why the game will always feel like a one of a kind. The sort of exploration that is fun because there is so much to see even with the limited enviromental interaction and the game has this melancholic atmosphere to it that is surprisingly immersive. The music is fantastic. Ola Strandh has got to be one of the most talented compositors in the industry, maybe as good as Mick Gordon or Martin O’Donnell. The music uses synth music to accentuate what is going on. You have heroic beats, tense beats and the moment the game throws something BIG at you. The game is also a masterclass in environmental storytelling. While there is not much to the story, at least not at this time since the sequel is a whole different animal in that department, the game uses short stories, audio, and namely visuals to set the stage. I wish I could say the story is good but it is a grounded version of Escape from New York and Robocop at best with some vague inspiration on Operation Dark Winter (A vague hypothetical disaster scenario). For a game in the Tom Clancy series, it is very loosely related to what he would had written in life. Meanwhile enjoy developing a headcanon while cleaning up the streets of NY. Gameplay wise…. Essentially is a looter shooter but I would compare The Division to something like Diablo Hack / Slash gameplay instead of something like Borderlands. Similar to Diablo you got a few main stats and you level those up and how your character plays depends mainly on Firearms / Strength, Stamina / Vitality, Electronics / Magic. Later on items become interesting and you can mix and match or use the Gear Sets which change your character drastically opening up more possibilities and offer much needed gameplay variety for Solo, PVP and Groups. Similar to Diablo, you angrily click on things that you want to clear from the screen but also like Diablo it is grindy, so very grindy. You will run into these slopes where you will need to grind to advance into the next activity, and then the gameplay improves until you get to the next slope. Thankfully most of the game activities are accessible at Level 30 but advancing to World Tier 5 and then gathering Classified Gear which is the secret sauce of the game takes some commitment. Not MMO type commitment but the game has some RPG inspired elements, sadly that includes JRPG type grinding. Not the worst, but affects the pacing of the game. Also this is a Ubisoft game and they have a reputation for being repetitive with the same 3 missions and this is not an exception, the early game will have you do the same 3 side quests for some time. That said the game definitively got some modes and activities to make your time worthwhile. Survival is genuinely the best Extraction shooter ever made, I would recommend getting the Gold edition for this alone. In this mode you have to survive a blizzard storm, and try to extract before you die of a septic shock caused by an initial crash. This mode can be played solo or with friends in PVP and PVE, and it is really exciting, the music by Ola Strandh is so good. Underground is genuinely fun, kind of grindy but it does have fun set pieces and it is the best way to Level from LVL 30 to World Tier 5. Last Stand… If you have the patience of a Saint, you may be rewarded with a match. Truth be told, I had issues finding a match even on release. The Division has a real problem with PVP. The reason is that it ties it very closely with its gear system, if this mode, much like Confrontation in the sequel used preset characters, it would be popular, but yeah nobody touches PVP outside Survival and… The Dark Zone. The Dark Zone has to be experienced, there are no other words for it. The Dark Zone is one of the most unique parts of the game, it is a PVP / PVE aspect and even in 2026 you will find other players for better... or worse. Speaking of which, I recently 100% this game in 2026 and I did not have an issue finding games for most activities. Resistance is an additional mode, it is a Smash TV / Horde / firefight mode (or whatever you want to call it). You fight waves of enemies but the catch is that is balanced toward group play much like Incursions. Incursions are the super hard, group play PVE missions that are quite frankly fantastic but require jolly co-operation to coordinate actions. They are equally as hard as they are rewarding plus they are fun as all hell once everyone knows what they are doing. Falcon Lost, Stolen Signal, Clear Sky and Dragon’s Den are so cool. Each have their own unique gimmick. All in all, I think this game fun even Solo, the issue is that the first hours are possibly the weakest since you would be fighting low level enemies until you get to most of the world. The Gun variety is not bad but you will quickly learn some guns are better than others. You won’t have to worry about character builds until the endgame, in which the game offers several ways to build your character and use the game resources…. Or you can just equip the old and trusty Striker set. It is hard to recommend as overall experience since it is somewhat unsubstantial at first but it is worth playing if only for the setting and atmosphere alone.
To this day it's one of the best looking and atmospheric titles out there, and the only one that made me interested in simply exploring the city just to understand the plot through well-crafted environmental storytelling. Fun gunplay both solo and in co-op. Some repetitive side missions. The Dark Zone is one of the most exciting and atmospheric PvP modes to date. Lots of content with multiple DLCs. Overall, I like this one more than the sequel. Dilapidated Christmas time NYC covered in snow has just so much character.
The Division feels like Destiny and Borderlands mixed with a more grounded Tom Clancy setting. You're dropped into a ruined New York, fighting through gangs, cleaners, and soldiers while trying to restore some kind of order. The story is decent, but it's mostly told through collectibles, and most of the characters are easy to forget. The ending also feels unfinished, leaving a lot of questions unanswered. Still, there's something about The Division that works. The atmosphere is fantastic, the city looks great, and exploring snowy New York never really gets old. It has its flaws, but the core experience is strong enough to make it worth playing even today.
