I loved this story and the ending. Didn't get stuck too much either. I don't have any mayor complaints neither. 9/10 will play again.
GRAVEN The Purple Moon Prophecy is a very good HOG with nice visuals. The story, the voice acting and the music are all very good and well-done. The puzzles and hidden object scenes are sensible and fun. It's definitely worth the asking price.
das spiel ist so na ja .... für kindergarten ist es gerade richtig
It's a cute little game with some pixel hunting (puzzle pieces and mistletoe branches). H o w e v e r, in my opinion, it could well and surely do away with that abominable 3D. It lacks polish and the cutscenes suffer as a result. The story would only benefit if it was told via 2D images, I can see no reason for including 3D animation here at all, it doesn't add anything to the game story or artistry wise. Same goes for voice acting. It's bad, no point including it in here. As far as gameplay goes the inventory (or instructions) panel is too large, or at least it should have been on the either of the sides of the screen to avoid accidental clicking and exiting an area. These are things I can live with though, the game is still fun to play and test your attentiveness.
Decent HOG with a supernatural element .. ok, which HOG doesn't have that? >.< Anyways, storyline is decent and I found myself enjoying it. The game also have a little replay value with a fair time in between (a year or more), much like the Enigmatis serie has. The HO scenes are fairly decent (a bit more challenging than those from a certain, bigger HOG distributor...) and mood setting is not too shabby. Be warned though, if the thought of death beyond the guaranteed bird skull bugs you, as you'll se more than just 'one skull' :) Voice acting is not as hysterical and over the top as I find some HOG games to be, but not amazing either. But I guess you wouldn't play HOG for the voice acting alone. All in all decent little HOG. A hidden gem? hm.. not quite, but it's not that bad either. If you like this sort of game, definitely pick it up on sale, heck - maybe even dash out the full price (€3-something), and you'll have entertainment the next 3-4 hours.
A very solid hidden object game (HOG). You play as an archaeologist who gets dragged into a quest to save the world from destruction. This was fun and well put together. I'd recommend this to fans of the genre.
https://youtu.be/RfnwwbULLk8 At a high level there is little connective tissue to make the variety of puzzles and goals feed into a greater narrative. In practice what the player is task to do has little connection to the story.
If you like the genre, this one is excellent. Good atmosphere and graphics, nice variation in HO games and puzzles. Highly recommended, although the story is a silly as ever with these games.
(Possibly a bit spoilerish, but I wanted to give an honest review.) This is a middle-of-the-road HOG. The graphics are overall clean and bright, if a bit cartoony, with clear delineation of objects and paths. It does get a bit… stabby… in a few places, though, so do not play if you are bothered by blood and grisly images. The gameplay contains a variety of hidden object screen styles - fractured-object, silhouettes, find-and-use, and traditional text lists - with some combination objects and hidden caches layered in. As an additional challenge, there are two sets of collectibles to find – mosaic pieces, which are found in zoomed screens, and mistletoe plants, which are found absolutely everywhere in the game including in the backgrounds and in hidden object screens. I found all but one of the mistletoe plants honestly (had to look at a guide for the last one), but the mosaic pieces are an absolute joke – before you can even find them all, an unskippable cutscene just hands them, and the achievement for finding them, to you. I was actively looking for the last piece when this happened and cheated me out of my personal victory. The other minigames and puzzles are all common genre standards: spin the tiles, drag the tiles, swap the tiles, sort pieces by category, mix the potion, etc., although the difficulty levels vacillate wildly between being easy enough for a small child to solve, and being painfully tedious. The story is your typical Mad Libs fill-in-the-blank formula with “demons,” “druids,” “Avalon,” “the four elements,” and “a prophecy foretold by your magical ancestors.” I swear these companies use predictive text AIs to write their nonsensical plots for them. My main quibble with this game is the pacing feels off. There is a countdown timer in the story that has no correlation whatsoever to how long you’ve been playing. Also, you are only able to finish half the visible puzzles in each area before being forcibly shunted along to the next self-contained map, so there is a constant sense of interruption and gear-shifting; and, because the end of the game is basically nothing but going back and cleaning up all those item combination puzzles you couldn’t do earlier, your inventory is suddenly bursting at the seams after almost an entire game of being practically empty. At least all the item use puzzles are logical and straightforward. At the end of the day, it’s a decent enough time waster if you get it on sale, but I wouldn’t recommend it at full price. I’ll give it a reluctant, half-hearted thumbs-up.
Good game & story line, the graphics on the people aren't the best but it was still a great game to play. I recommend if you like hidden object games with mystery & story lines.
