It all starts in Liberty City. With revolutionary freedom to go anywhere and jack anyone, Grand Theft Auto III puts the center of the criminal underworld at your fingertips, if you have enough guts to take it.

Grand Theft Auto III is one of the most important games ever released. It completely changed the industry and laid the foundation for the open world games that followed. While some aspects have aged over the years, there is still something special about exploring Liberty City and seeing where the series truly began. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this version. Like the rest of the Definitive Edition trilogy, it was outsourced rather than developed directly by Rockstar, and it still suffers from performance problems that should not be present in a remaster. While I encountered fewer bugs than in San Andreas, the game still runs far worse than it should. The situation is made even more frustrating by the fact that Rockstar removed the original versions from sale while also taking legal action against modders who created their own enhanced versions of these classics. If you want to experience GTA III, I would only consider this version during a deep sale. The game itself is a classic, but the Definitive Edition falls short of the standard it deserves.
Replaying this for the first time since the remaster launched and its still quite a fun game and is very much the most important game in the series for what it did and deserves all the respect it gets. I do however believe that its sequels truly improved upon this brilliant foundation such as with their more thought out narratives, interesting characters and mission variety - but still a lot of fun regardless, and a pioneer in gaming history is GTA III.
Super ładnie działa 🙂 bez zacięcia odnowiona grafika, dużo kolorów cienie wody itd. zachowuje klimat tamtych lat nic nie tnie wszystko gra i buczy
I really tried to like it but since it was my first time playing it I had zero nostalgia for this glitchy port
Aged like a cup of yogurt in the Death Valley sun. Nearly everything in this game is a tedious slog and I can't even be bothered to finish the 100% and the achievements despite having most of it done. Worst 3D GTA and it's not even remotely close, will never touch this again given that every later GTA is a significantly better version of this game.
Story is mid, the missions are TRASH... no wonder i always dropped this game as a child before even getting the first bridge fixed, also the open world is not good and i dont care if this was their first 3d open world game. The only good memory i have from this is trying to get over the broken bridge
Terrible game. Plays like the killer bean game
Your absolute LAST CHOICE for GTA 3. Noticeably worse performance and visuals compared to original. The entire "Definitive Edition" is dreck. It (the ENTIRE package) looks and plays like something you'd buy in a Beijing or Moscow back alley, "Great Thievery Automobiles 3" or some such... DO NOT BUY, individually or as a package.
Selten ein so beschissenes Spiel gespielt
This GTA is really boring. The city is small, there are no interesting points. I can understand it was a good game when the original edition came out, but now it's terrible
