The Game is fun, however I struggle to reccomend it, AI is horrible, very inconsitent from locking on in the pitch black and shooting you on a roof when they are a good 80 feet below you with no nvg or flashlights to you walking up with in 10 feet before they acknoledge you, If you play PVE its you vs everyone, there is no variety in AI factions so they dont fight eachother, not enough guns IMO, sound from the weapons absolutley suck even after all the new sounds, I started only playing this game on my quest 3 as the steam version is way dareker and there is no brightness settings.Game feels janky AF, weapon handeling feels pretty bad but is ok once you adjust, VR implimented controls feel bad, try to grab your ammo from your ammo pouch, enjoy grabbing your rifle, want to take off your helemt, better take off that back pack first, I want to like this game, I have enjoyed it alot. When I look at other options I struggle to choose this game, I can go play Contractos exfil and have WAY better sound, Enemy AI dont have 2 brain cells fighting for 3rd place, The list goes on, I wont pretend Contractors is perfect, but when I look specifically at the way the game plays and feels, how the controls feel, how the AI behave, and the differnce in sounds additionally the maps feel like they have WAY more in contractors. I literally can not even play Tabor, the sound is bad, the AI ruins the immersion, the game feels Janky. Its a game that I really enjoyed for awhile, but after getting multiple $10 DLC and the game is still in the state its in I cant justify it, I cant even Recommend it. If you are interested try the game out, you might like it, how ever for my self I am done picking the worse option not that the game is bad, but when I really look at this and compare it Tabor actually sucks when looking at Contractors, Tabor does absolutley nothing better than Contracotrs and they both have issues, so I will take the one that is objectivley more polished and offers a more engaging experinece.

Thumbs up for having a PvE mode. I got all the other extraction shooters in VR, and while this might not be the most polished one at the moment, it does have a mode for us oldtimers who can't be bothered with forced Pvp-only gameplay where you don't stand a chance as a new solo player. I don't care about getting gud - I just want to chill with a fun game and hoard some loot.
Just go get Contractors: Exfilzone... this game is not worth your time in it's current state. Game breaking bugs are a feature of every update they release and its just getting old now. Instead of fixing issues they are too busy adding flamboyant DLCs and running Twitch Drops events. They have lost their momentum and Contractors jumped right in to fill the void.
Played this game for many years, and never once have I not died to bs. PVP mode, you run into geared squads no matter what level you are or run into corner campers from level 5 and below. PVE mode is just as bad. If you're taking too long in a raid, it seems like bots just spawn in and know exactly where you are. I can't tell you how many times I get 3 shotted with level 4 armor because the bot suddenly appeared outside of the window and shoots me dead with an sks. This game has just degraded itself to nothing, nothing feels rewarding until you take down a kitted player, only to get killed by the other 2 kitted players behind the corner. Or, if you're really lucky, you take down the whole squad of kitted players, just to get ran up by even more players with better stuff than you do because they have more money.
What if Tarkov looked like a PS2 game strapped to your face, and played like a PS1 game? Come get your ghost of a promise of good time. Midayz VR. Ghosts of Midkov: VRRRR.
Scott has a community of children, period. Scott doesn't know what makes his game good, he looks at an issue and either removes the issue entirely, that breaks the game, or adds something that also breaks the game. With the removal of AP powder FMJ and Tracers cannot penetrate anything above class 3 armor, with some exceptions such as 6.8x51 and 7.62x51, or even 30-06 or 7.62x51, late game you can't run any other caliber without AP powder, Scott didn't remedy this situation by any means. The bugs are another thing, from spinning bags, to picking everything BUT the item you want out of your bag, back in the day the items inside the bag had collision to allow for better bag packing but now its a mess without them. Scott and CWS as a whole was an alright VR dev studio back in the day but the fall off from then and the amount of skins in this game instead of fixing the bugs is just sad.
its a very buggy and laggy game even when plugged into my pc graphics are just okay nothing to write home about 50/50 chance you get the gun you brought into raid with you 30% chance you actually kill the guy your shooting at 40% chance you trade with the guy you shot 30% chance you just die as soon as you load in over all 6/10 game
do NOT buy this game there are bugs out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roof theres more dlcs than i can count they NEVER update or fix anything save your money and never buy a game from this ♥♥♥♥ ass company
admittedly loved the game when it was older, now its just a mix of messed up AI that act as if they all collectively share 1 brain cell, and the massive ass bunker now makes it near impossible to actually find what you need since its all so spread out. now did the game have potential. absolutely, i thought it was the best PVP extraction type VR games there was, but now its ruined. instead of devs listening to the people on how the legacy version was better they instead of rolling back decided to screw us all over and instead released the "legacy version" for almost the same price as the original which is rediculous. if they offered all the previous players codes or something to a free version of the legacy sure id support it, but this just feels like a dev team robbing people who supported them and screwed over new players because they are money hungry and thought they could get away with it. so no, i do not recommend this game because these devs no longer show any sort of back bone, nor support for their own community and feels like they are trying to just take what money they can to any poor sap that will give it to them
