Three thousand years in the future, mankind has carved a bloody path towards domination of the known universe. Self-proclaimed as a divine race and beyond reproach as a species, they view all alien races as inferior.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really like this game and i even have a few older computers to run it. It has some great ideas and the story with the living ships is really new. Great videos scenes and story. Unfortunately, it seems that the version from steam has a bug as the ships don't appear in the first mission. I have an older version of the game on the same computer and it runs without problems (Windows 7). So i can recommend the game only if you're willing to create some folders (see forums) and take the risk that it might not run on a windows 10 computer.
A great concept
A game that is fantastic, the weird living ship thing, really hits a spot for me. highly enjoyable. be wary it does have some stability issues.

Literally unplayable. This game is completely broken, freezing inside the first mission. Tried repeatedly with different dialogue conditions and the like, always became unplayable during the first mission.
I played this game when it was just relist. A bit cheesy but what can you expect from such a old game. Simple and aged well game. I liked it then, i like it now. Aldought this game is 15 years old, it still looks fine, and the explosions looks epic. For the curent prise it's worth it.
Tried the fixes, but this game just won't run in windows 10 crashes when I start the tutorial every time. Getting a refund
The game is completely broken. When I start the game, I am bombarded by at least 50 different errors about the sharers. After clicking through that and starting the campaign, 50 more errors. Clicking through all those gives me a game with no textures. If I mutate my ship (a core feature) I am hit with 50 more errors. I recommend getting the game and trying the fixes, if they don't work, refund it.
I just penetrated that rock hard ship with my bloody fleshy one. Feels good.
Meh. I keep buying these space sims, expecting something that actually attempts to simulate a spaceship. This is really a naval combat game without the water. It's 2-dimensional (the graphics are 3D but the actually playing field is not; you can only move in 2 dimensions). Say what you want about Homeworld not NEEDING a 3rd dimension; at least it had one. Having said that, this is a pretty unique naval RTS. When you kill another ship, you get to harvest it for both health and abilities for your own ships. I've only played the first couple missions but the mechanics seem solid and the ship customization is very intuitive. Once you've killed a few enemies, it's very easy to customize your identical ships into specialized individuals. For example: on the second tutorial mission, I loaded all my beams onto one ship, all my short-range projectiles onto the second and all my long-range missiles onto a third. What started out as three ships with two pea-shooters each quickly became a useful unit with very distinct roles. Haven't played far enough to say how the story or mission variation is but just based on the core gameplay elements, I recommend Genesis Rising.
No hate for the game, you are just going to go thru hell to get it to work. If you willing to get it to work it is not bad but you may as well get the updated Homeworld tbh. So only for the die hard RTS fans out there.
I can'e even make it run properly, I have around 2fps in the main menu no matter what I try and what compability options I try, making any changes in game options with 2fps and shuttering slow, painful and doesn't change a thing how game run
