Upgrades are all stat boosts like range/attack speed/health, etc. They don't even do much, either.. 40% healing took my healing per hit from 14 to... 14? What? Music is repetitive and droning. Enemies just mindlessly approach you, with higher difficulty just meaning you get outpaced in stats/numbers. Again,, upgrades don't do a ton unless you get lucky with a higher rarity skill card (No player agency here either, just pick the highest rarity and youre guaranteed to be stronger. There's co-op- but there's no team play to speak of besides *maybe* trying to move together? The healer helps too i guess To it's credit, there weren't any bugs- just a boring and uninspired take on Roguelikes and Bullet Hells. A stat collecting simulator that doesnt even commit to that.
Ton of potential, but broken in so many ways. 1. The percentage improvements in stats are meaningless. You get a 40% increase in attack speed, but it's really like a 0.1% increase. +40% healing made me heal 10hp instead of 9hp...totally 40%. 2. The stat meters at the bottom change constantly by wide amounts for no discernible reason. The meters, again, do not seem to reflect the reality in the game: you have max health, but still die fast. The meters also need labels instead of just symbols. Also, if the meter is full, is that stat maxed? Is it worthless to take further increases? You have no idea. The increases are offered...so??? 3. Items: you can't see the item you equipped, so you don't know if the new one is better. You also cannot determine if only taking the item stats adds those stats or replaces them from the previous weapon (which you can't see, so you don't know if the new item is helping or hurting). 4. All stats really need numbers assigned to them instead of vague percentages and incorrect meters. TL;DR The numbers, item bonuses, and stat meters are meaningless and vague. The increases are minuscule, and you don't really know how much they help unless you pump them like crazy.
This "survivor" has a very special and interesting point of view on this type of game. Compared to other games in dungeon survivors are cool and unique mechanics that makes the game better in some aspects than its competitors, definitely attracting you to spend a few evenings with pleasure playing with a cup of tea.
The game just -lacks-. The game is a sort-of-survivor, where you get one single attack at a time and enemies come in waves lasting 15-25 seconds before you 'level up' and get to pick a perk or item. What it gets right: - Late levels on a run are pretty fun, and chaotic. - The coop aspect definitely makes it more fun. - Get to dress your character up, and find items that you can see on your character. - Interesting boss fights that are unique. - Art looks nice. What it gets wrong: - One single tiny map with the same enemies each time, rapidly gets boring. - The one map is super slow until about round 50, which given each wave takes 8 seconds to start and lasts 15-25 seconds, you're looking at 23 minutes of yawn before it starts getting fun. - Five classes, each has only a single extra ability besides auto attack and a set of static stats, so each run feels very the same as the class. However, each class does get 4 unique changes to their attacks, such as the ranger getting multishot, fire arrow, explosive arrow or poison puddle arrow. However, each one can only be taken once, taking the one you have twice does nothing (even as the game offers it to you, sometimes more than once), and many are just objectively better than the others. If you RNG the best one early the run is much easier, but you can go 50 levels without finding even a single upgrade too. - No meta progression. - You can get the same card more than once on a level up, even three times, so you can end up with no choice. - You can get a card that does nothing, such as getting the same attack upgrade more than once or getting stat upgrades after maxing the stat. - Stats are nebulous as to what each bar actually does. It seems that they're multipliers for the base stats or something, as the warrior is much tankier than any other class even without investing in defense/health and even if their allies are. - Coop scales poorly. In solo skeletons have around 50 life and do 5ish damage, with two people that have 80ish life and do 7ish damage, and at three people they have about 110life and do 10ish damage. The problem is, that late game the ranged enemies are hitting for half or more of your HP with just three people, no matter four. For comparison, with maxed out healing, the Healer only heals about 30hp per heal, so having the weakest enemy in the game do a third of that per hit and worms do 85 damage means healing is nearly worthless. - Ranged enemies fire practically before spawning, making it very hard to dodge things. - Worms. The worms shoot a slowing/blinding puddle which is more annoying than anything, but means you're much more likely to melt to the barrage of attacks. Overall, a lot of good ideas, but mostly half implemented. This game feels very much Early Access. If they just add a lot more, find their niche in the genre, it could be a great game.
Nearing 100 hours in this game, and its been a blast. Play solo or with a group of friends and build your stats in different ways to figure out what the most powerful build is. Really cool bosses with some fun mechanics along with some cool weapon and armor models. Give it a go, wont regret it!

This game is best played with friends. It’s hard to do alone and gets boring quickly. It's also difficult to play with random people. It’s not clear how they will start acting weird during the battle. After the wave is destroyed, you are given the choice of one of a random set of weapon upgrades. As a result, the longer you play, the cooler you become and the longer you have to play until you get killed. From a certain point on, playing this way will take too much time.
Refound after one hour, that's the duration of our first and last coop run of 100 waves. We played ranger and priest. During 70 waves it wasn't needed to move as i was shooting and the priest was only healing. Even after reaching the maximum in a stats it can keep coming on the level up card. Except for healing from the priest, there is no combo/synergy between the classes. The only interesting point is the boss fight but on 100 waves there was only 3.
Card picks are pointless, non of them seem to do anything apart from the damage increases. boring music, boring gameplay, boring game. refunded
Simple and understandable time killer, I hope in the future will add some amplifiers, as after 100 level is played quite monotonous and gameplay begins to tire, and if you and your allies are unlucky with the cards you are likely to die quickly, mages in this game I understand the machine for killing. The melee classes suck.
