Gears 5 isn't about hiding—it’s about sliding into a low wall at high speed, revving a chainsaw bayonet, and turning a Swarm grunt into a pile of red paste before he can pull his trigger. THE GOOD STUFF The Chainsaw Lancer: Still the undisputed king of melee weapons in gaming history. The active reload damage boost hitting just right as you chew through an enemy squad never gets old. Guns That Feel Heavy: Every shot from a Gnasher shotgun feels like firing an anti-vehicular canon point-blank. The gunplay carries real weight, recoil, and visceral impact. Horde Mode: 50 waves of pure escalation. Building fortifications, dropping automated turrets, and holding out against wave after wave of giant elite monsters with three buddies is peak PvE action. PC Performance: It runs at an insanely buttery framerate with slick visuals and zero stutters. Microsoft completely nailed the optimization on this port. THE "GEARS" EXPERIENCE Roadie Run: Sprinting across the battlefield with your camera pinned two inches off the dirt while bullets tear up the concrete around you. Gnasher Duels: Sliding from cover to cover in multiplayer trying to blow someone's torso off before they do it to you. Jack the Robot: Dropping shields and flashbangs from your buddy's upgradeable floating drone to flush out heavily armored elite bosses. VERDICT It's big, loud, gory, and unapologetically brutal. Whether you're here for the campaign, classic Horde mode, or just smashing through wave after wave with friends, it delivers pure chainsaw action. 9/10. Rev the Lancer and go to work.

I've heard about this game back in the days but never had the chance to try it out on console. Can't believe I missed out on this Gem and would have spent countless hours back then if it was on pc. its combat controls and manuvers are fast paced and the graphics were way ahead of its time. I've tried Custom Versus mode VS A.I. for a quick spin and highly impressed with the graphics and gameplay tactics.

Apart from the mouse pointer being too sensitive, this game is great in all aspects and I am still working hard to adapt, further will buy others Gears games!
