Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 33.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Visually impressive, but falls short on nearly everything else. Controls are awful, camera is awful, writing is awful, this chick never shuts up, constantly hunting for ammo for the few weapons that don't completely suck. Two seconds of shooting followed by a 4 second reloading animation, repeat. Doesn't even have a jump or strafe function. I am not the target audience for this game, I guess. Honestly glad to be done with it. Even had issues with the game treating my stereo speakers like surround sound, and sending dialog to a non-existent center channel. I'm over it.
Amei a experiencia!!! Voltaria mais vezes e recomendo...
We played it with a mate in one sitting but i wanted to end by the beggining of act 2. We were foolish enough to play it through. It was so mediocre that i hardly have anything to damn or praise, it was just so boring. Not even mention that it was a tad buggy but that was really the cherry on top. The only thing that can save it from total and utter failiure of entertainment is the last act that is like 30 minutes or so. And the worst thing is we bought it on 85% sale.... Yes it was that painfull.
Descobri a franquia Gears ano passado.

I bought this with the sole intention of playing the Horde mode, but I have also since dabbled with the traditional multiplayer a tiny amount. Horde is, for the most part what I remember of the series, but with considerably more depth and a larger variety of modes than I can recall GoW 2 having which was the last game in the series I played. It was a nice surprise to find how the mode had developed from what I remember. Classes, deployables and a central (moveable) hub that keeps everyone focused around a main objective rather than everyone scattering the second they've spawned in are all welcome additions, furthering the experience as opposed to narrowing player expression. The classes feel distinct and identifiable, being split into 4 subcategories, three of which are your typical DPS/Tank/Support roles with the fourth subclass generally feeling like a selection of off-class options that don't necessarily fit into any of those archetypes. They all for the most part feel fairly well balanced from one another and so far at least it feels like there's no wrong choice. As of Aug 2026 there's still a strong community of players in Horde. There's a server browser that allows you to find a more tailored experience if that's your preference, however Quickplay still provides fast matchmaking with you typically not needing to wait more than a few minutes to find a game. As for multiplayer it's largely what you would expect with a game this old. The overwhelming majority of players are extremely good to the point that you'll feel blessed if you've managed to score a few kills by the end of a game. Players vs AI remedies this but obviously doesn't tend to feel the same as a true PvP experience, which may lead to the mode feeling unfulfilling to some. Having almost exclusively played Horde up to this point I can't talk to the quality of the Campaign nor the Escape mode. However at its sale price, Horde alone justifies the purchase for me. If Horde is the main selling point for you then you're likely to find it compelling enough also.
