Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Bonus points for having crossplay so I can coop with my partner❤️ since she is on PS5. The fact a lot of games still don't have cross play is kinda ridiculous. I am aware this is regarded as one of the weaker if not weakest entry from borderlands series and while i can see why people say that, I would like to expand on my experience but be mindful we are still in the middle of our first playthrough The main attraction of borderlands series is gunplay and to be fair it does feel slightly underwhelming here & their focus seems to be on melee combat a lot which I personally don't vibe with much & it's proven by the fact that most gear drops I get usually gets ruined by one roll that is related to melee damage, I rather have it be any other roll but it's not a biggie for now till we hit end game I suppose The spells are visually appealing and fun to use, as u would expect some are more useful than others while some are focused on co-op like having ability to revive and heal team mates which is obviously appreciated when things get chaotic. Speaking of which, we recently co-oped borderlands 3 together and went in with same mindset on higher difficulty and had minor struggles but after constructing some sort of basic build while focusing on proper spells, things are much more fun and manageable. You have 6 pieces of gear here besides companions & spells so there is more to your character build than borderlands 3 in comparison Like I mentioned earlier, so far the gunplay seems mediocre and we never cared for story of this series & we co-op these games while listening to music or watching movies so can't comment on story. However the biggest point of this gameplay is the visuals, hands down the most beautiful game from borderlands series in my opinion. Every location makes u wanna take screenshots and admire the scenery. The colours pop especially since I have bumped up the saturation a bit on my QD-OLED The overworld map where u roam before heading into missions, kind of like u r in a board game is unique but I personally don't like it but it is something that differentiates it from the other borderlands games so I'll cut it some slack for that. However I can't ignore the fact that it makes the whole loop feel a bit more repetitive than it probably would have been otherwise The performance is amazing. Max settings in 4k locked at 144 FPS with RTSS without any upscaler & no stutters at all. I had stutters issue with borderlands 3 so this definitely is a smoother experience however it only has fsr 2 upscaler which isn't the best these days and no nvidia upscaler at all even though I have nvidia gpu as u can see from my attached pc specs so that's a bit weird So why the recommendation? Well it's beautiful & fun to co-op with peeps while enjoying some form of media on the side and it makes for a fun time. O and it has hazardous barrels like other borderlands games so it's always fun to troll my partner by baiting her to head towards a barrel by either telling there is loot/chest or whatever excuse i come up with on the spot or even watching her move close to a barrel while heading towards an objective and then blowing up the barrels, it's funny for both of us and she is always trying to take revenge so it just makes this game worth it for us & we are silly like that❤️ On a side note, why do dog fish & to an extent, the hammer head enemies kind of look like that Italian brainrot shark thingy (had to google it's name, it's called Tralalero Tralala - sorry I don't use TikTok so was not sure of the name). O and if u r still not sold on the game, we literally just did a mission where I got to hit claptrap thrice, o doesn't that just sound so enticing? CLAPtrap got CLAPPED!! Definitely worth it on a good discount if u have peeps to experience this with!! Yes, the review was a bit on the longer side but you gotta admit, not as bad as claptrap's yapping xP

Did not enjoy this one little bit. I love Tiny Tina's humour and was really looking forward to playing this with a friend but we both became very quickly annoyed with the copy/paste combat and garbage loot. I've enjoyed the BL games up to this one but this was not remotely fun imo.

Jesus christ, probably the worst Borderlands game I've played. Worse than 3. I got VERY quickly tired of being plopped into a copy-pasted arena over and over again to fight the same enemy over and over again.

what is this game? i genuinly havent experience worse diolauge in a game before. do i really need the charecters to explain why games and DND are fun for 5 minutes. also who above the age of 5 is laughing at garglesnot, like humor is subjective i get that but seriously garglesnot what are we talking about. the gameplay is aight nothing special. but the quests are so unbearable is go talk to person find item bring back repeat 3 times get loot. this game just feels like borderlands for babies.

This game is so gay. Wish that I was still within the refund window.

Hard to put my finger on it, but it doesn't have the same secret sauce that Borderlands has. Being a DnD parody isn't enough to make it feel special, like the borderlands universe feels.

Most woke and bad game I've ever played. Good thingI only wasted 7€ but even that is too much.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a fun spin-off of the Borderlands formula, but it doesn't quite reach the magic of its inspiration. After the incredible Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep DLC from Borderlands 2, expectations were naturally high. Turning that concept into a full game was a great idea: the fantasy tabletop RPG setting works surprisingly well, bringing a lot of creativity, absurd humor, and a fresh atmosphere to the series. The gameplay remains enjoyable, especially in co-op. Character creation, multiclassing, spells, and melee weapons add new possibilities to builds, while the classic Borderlands loot system and chaotic combat are still as addictive as ever. Unfortunately, the writing and humor are much less consistent than in Borderlands 2, and the game lacks the memorable characters and emotional impact of Assault on Dragon Keep. The endgame is also disappointing, with limited replayability and DLCs that feel far below the quality of previous expansions. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is still a okayish Borderlands adventure with some great ideas, but it feels more like a fun spin-off than a true successor to one of the franchise's best moments.
