Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 33.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly the worst multiplayer experience of any game i think i have ever played, total sweat fest with lots of cheaters that have macros or faster shooting gnashers with more damage, speaking of the gnasher its mad inconsistent just like every other Gears game but it feels even worse in this title. Campaign is woke DEI slop. Corny writing and insufferable characters. Game should have been called Gears 5 : kate has a headache. Horde is also terrible not because of the mode itself but the toxic community and people who leave wave 1 after dying, or any wave for that matter. Literally every horde game multiple people leave after dying. Trash game and no wonder the series and community is dying. Dont even understand the hype for E day when the coalition has yet to make a fun or decent gears of war game, franchise should have ended after GoW 3. Its like having hope 343 is going to make an actual HALO game for once haha.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Lore Butchered. Gears of War ended with 3. My heart knew that before even trying this but over the weekend I just had to open Pandoras box...saw it for £6 in the run up to E Day and finally caved. Well, E Day can do one now. Spoilers ahead. 14 year old me grinded for that Golden Retro Lancer back in the Gears 3 Beta. Couch Co-oped the trilogy in Hardcore/insane with a good friend. We both read the Karen Travis books. Both got the Epic edition. We used to Speculate about New Hope, Adam and the Queen, what it all meant. You want to tell me that the COG literally made Locust Drones in a vat? Do one! So the Lambent warred with the Locust decades before E Day but were then created themselves in turn decades before that? All while the COG fought the UIR at the same time? Nope. Rubbish. The war with the UIR was what 100 years and E Day was a couple weeks after the War ended. Beyond timing inconsistencies, we have the Kantus Priests back in Gears 2; with their iconography etc. There's a whole civilisation (of sorts) down there. To reduce the Locust down to muhh bad experiment EURGH. The reveal itself: we don't get to See Marcus, Dom or Bairds reaction - WHAT. But it's obvious why. They'd have too many damn questions that the writers cant answer because it doesn't make any sense. Prescott and literally everyone else who could have answered for this or tried to justify it is dead. A reveal that rings hollow....if this was ever to be made lore it had to be during Gears 3. Even if they had I would have hated it because, again, it doesn't make sense, but someone could have been held accountable and had to try to justify it! Practicalities: how did the child Myra escape together with a bunch of unarmed Locust Drones from what you're telling me was a top secrete Military Testing Facility? Escape from under metres of solid Ice, too.... How do you get from treating kids with Rust Lung to a literal Locust Drone? Do one! All the times Myra met Marcus in Gears 2 & 3 - put yourself in her shoes and think for a moment you wouldn't mention this at some point? Baddies love to talk about how they've been wronged and if this really is her backstory there's no way she could hold back. Yeah I saw the E Day trailer recently and it got me alright, I saw this on sale too and finally went in while knowing the fanbase had been torn for years but damn it was worse than I could have thought. I don't care if E Day looks decent and everyone on Youtube says it's a return to form. The Coalition also gave us this slop. As much as I miss Dom and Marcus these lore reveals ruin the whole idea of E Day. This wasn't humanity fighting against a hostile Race (apparently) It wasn't brothers sacrificing themselves for the squad (apparently) It was just a cheeky experiment that got out of hand and then whoops E Day. You can throw out yet another trailer with Mad World in there to try and pluck at my heart strings but I wont be spending a penny more on this franchise. Will always appreciate the majesty of the original Trilogy. "Brothers Till The End". It Ends here. Here's one Brother who isn't trying to convince himself that everything is fine and that The Coalition are cooking rn.
