Got the game for a review copy (in 5th of October in 2022) At the time the game was kinda meh, but I kept my hopes for it "since it was testing version". But I still kept giving the devs all info about the glitches, improvement, etc with hope that the game will be good (since their first game from 2018 (Zero Caliber VR) is one of the best shooter games on VR) So... how they improved the game in another 7 months? Barely... - the "better graphics" for PC version dont exist like they promised - no new content was added - the game still feels really clunky - multiplayer is laggy - the zombie mod that they announced in December 22 also isnt in the game - they released the game when they knew it still has issues (not mentioning that there already WAS a delay) And how the game plays? - the game is really short and without playing the levels again and again to get something new, it takes about 2 hours to complete - awfuly long grind (if you want more weapons) - weapons feels like a toys - their "humor" is more cringy than funny - the characters are unlikable I really cant recommend the game in the state it released in and the price they want for it. 20€ is way too much for this (play Vertigo 2 for 9€ more instead, because this is really a game that deservers PC VR attention) XREAl GAMES are devs who ruined their reputation with Zero Caliber VR PC version (not mentioning delaying the PvP mod for over 3 YEARS) Just try to make a good game, dont rush it and take the time you need and fix your reputation. I believe in you

embarassing xreal stop making games wanted to give this a shot but when you put on the steam discussions that this is a full game and not early access but then have a whole bunch of the story coming soon that means you lied this game is extremely bare bones stay far away
Got the game for a review copy back a few months ago. Game was terrible then. The devs were mad that I reviewed the prerelease version of the game, and that I should take the video down. There were a lot of game breaking glitches, but I was still trying to be positive. Read my friends (Blu_VR, he should be the top review) review, he basically tells you everything you need to know. They underdelivered, didn't keep promises and absolutely lied. Please don't buy it. This is how to NOT make a game. It's fundamentaly flawed.
Garbage. Crashed constantly, never got passed the multiplayer hub. Tutorial didn't run well, had performance issues. I don't have confidence in XREAL to fix the issues, I'm refunding my purchase until I see reviews showing that improvements were made.
Good to know before buying; This as an early access game. Very early access. Im not sure how they can even sell this as a "full release" or keep a straight face when they said multiple times in the forum It won't be early access. Only 1 of 3 chapters is playable. There are no hours of ploundering the solo campaign and no dozens of weapons. It's 1/3 of a game. This is not communicated amywhere or anyhow. On top of that, the enemies are not fun, the levels are boring wich makes exploring and looting very unexciting and the grind to get new stuff is not fun. I love Zero Caliber and had fun with a-tech but this demo game is just not cool.
ATTENTION: OCULUS RIFT USERS "NOT S" The game does not work with the hands in the game.. you can't GRAB things climb ladders etc.... I told them on DISCORD PAGE: RESPONSE - Batteries are Low... LIKE REALLY !!! Other people are having the same problems as well...
GAMBIT, is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered and enjoyed. While every game may have its detractors, I believe that the negative reviews fail to capture the true essence and strengths of GAMBIT. Firstly, let's address the criticisms. Some negative reviews mention the game's difficulty, claiming it to be unfair or frustrating. However, I believe this aspect adds to the game's charm and the positive side of challenges. Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZRhF1T0q10 GAMBIT offers a challenge that rewards perseverance and strategic thinking. It encourages players to adapt and improve their skills, making victory all the more satisfying. Another common complaint revolves around the game's visuals. While some reviewers argue that they are outdated, I find the graphics pretty much alright, evoking a sense of classic fast paced shooting in VR gaming that many players would appreciate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4vNuwocufs
This isn’t what I thought it was gonna be at all. I was so hyped up about this game and I’m extremely disappointed. Something was missing, I don’t know. I’m thinking it was going to be more like payday2 mixed with after the fall. I don’t know what that is.
played with a buddy on multiplayer coop. didnt have any problems, great arcade style shooter for the price. not sure why everyone else is having problems.
Leaving a positive review because I enjoyed the game thus far, and I think a lot of the negative feedback is not justified. pros: - quest/pcvr crossplay (everyone forgets about this, I can think of maybe a dozen games on the market with this) - multiplayer FPS campaign (yeah only 1/3 of it is released. Again, I can think of maybe a dozen VR games with this) - bonelab style secrets/unlockables - Fun arcade style FPS combat cons: - Some people have complained about bugs. I have yet to see one. Anyone claiming it is unplayable must have some different configuration than I do. - 1/3 of campaign is released. XReal took a really long time to release content for Zero Caliber PCVR. So I hope the remaining content comes sooner, but am not counting on it. - Story is better than Zero Caliber, but the writing is still pretty mid. - AI is pretty stupid (teammates stand in direct gunfire without taking cover and die) Final thoughts: Oculus quest owns a large portion of the VR market, so to make money they kind of have to make it work there. But same as with bonelab (a singleplayer game) the overall quality seems to suffer when the same product is shipped to both pcvr and quest. To compare this to a PC-Only experience, or singleplayer experience, is apples to oranges. Note that the popular FPS "Onward" also reduced graphics quality and AI competence to enable quest crossplay compatibility. Just food for thought to those who left a negative review comparing this to something which is fundamentally different tech.
