Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Sep 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

all anyone really needs to say about this is: Tim Curry ROCKS!!! but i will also say this: one of the first computer games i played, and yes when it was new. it is a classic. the sequels, although trying to be graphically and mechanically up to date for the time they were released, felt less and less satisfying than this game which looks like something you made at school with the first version of MSPaint. it was because of this game that i bought the sequels as they came out, but it was "never as good as the first time". why? the story, the writing, the characters, the setting. most games don't even really try, or if they do they go up their own bunghole with extreme nerd OCD "lore" etc. this kind of game experience (giving the broad strokes and enough fine details to make them seem real) is an absolutely lost art in most forms of entertainment today.
Too old, I would like a remaster or remake.

Un clásico. Apasionante aventura gráfica que cada ciertos años vuelve a llamarte para que te la vuelvas a pasar.
What am I supposed to put here? It's got some of the most excellent puzzle design ever, stars TIM CURRY and MARK HAMILL in probably the first big celebrity cast ever in a game, exquisitely captures the flavor of New Orleans with its flawless soundtrack and imagery, and introduced to gamers everywhere the idea that a game could be serious. This is a landmark moment in video games. Yes its good. Get it.
The story was gripping and the graphics, which could be seen as outdated, were much to my tatse. Yes, it is a little old, but the old style was very nice to look at and reminded me of playing Theme Hospital. The darker, supernatural aspects and the broke charcter who can be a bit of a jerk nicely reminded me of some of the older Constantine comics, so should defintley be given a chance if that's your sort of thing. Just be prepared to check EVERYTHING and make a few savestates you can go back to. Even with some audio issues due to this being a not compleley perfect port, I would very much recommened this game. I am unsure about Windows, but it played relativley well on linux with no crashes. However, I would recommend going into the config files in in SteampApps/common/Gabriel Knight/GK1/DOSBOX and changing the dosboxGK.conf file to cycles=10000 during a specific part of chapter 6. It can be changed back straight after and is the only meddling I did with this game.
legend, brings back so much memories. Good voice actors
I'm really glad to see this on Steam, and it's certainly a bonafide classic. Sadly, DOSBox is terrible, especially on a Windows 11 system. I need to dust off my oldest laptop and see if I can finish this there.

This game starts off very laid-back and cozy, with a nostalgic vibe, featuring hours of dialogue and plenty of world-building. Up until around Chapter 6, everything goes smoothly. Then come the puzzles and the moments where you can barely make any progress without exploiting glitches. That was really frustrating. Still, I really enjoyed the game.
