About
Frostpunk 2 elevates the city-survival genre to a new level. Take the role of a Steward and lead your city through a cascade of calamities taking place in a postapocalyptic, snowy setting. Build large city districts with their string of endless needs and demands. Navigate through conflicting interests of factions that populate your metropolis. As the needs of the city grow and factional power at its core rises, only you can steer the society towards an uncertain future.

The world is overtaken by an ever present winter, which makes expansion of the city the only way for the survival of mankind. In order to grow, the metropolis needs resources like coal and oil, just like its citizens require food and warmth. In Frostpunk 2, it's your job to tackle this never ending circle of supply and demand.

The number of your citizens steadily grows, making the task of governing them and satisfying their demands all the more challenging. As the Steward you will have to maneuver carefully across the interests of many groups inhabiting the city.

People of your city want to have a voice in how you run things. Each faction has its own ideology and ideas for the future, yet they also have one thing in common - insatiable thirst for power. Choose your allies in the Council Hall wisely.

Make tough life-and-death decisions as you allocate heat across your city, supported by new research topics and heat-oriented laws. Choose districts that need the most warmth with the help of the Heat Management system with a detailed temperature overlay.

The story of Frostpunk 2 introduces a multi-chapter saga set in the frozen wastes. Spanning across the life of the Steward this campaign lets you feel the burden of leadership as you take the responsibility for thousands of lives. At the same time, the sandbox mode called Utopia Builder with infinite play time leaves you room for boundless social and infrastructural experiments.

Frostpunk 2 comes with a comprehensive and versatile modding tool. FrostKit will let you create your own maps, models, and scenarios inside the game. Now, only your imagination can limit the destination your city is heading to!

I think people who hate this game approach it with the wrong mindset... In the first game, the setting is obviously surviving the end of the world. And it does it pretty well. But since this games happens roughly 30 years after the events of Frostpunk 1, and that the city has grown a lot is now very well established, we're no longer talking about surviving. We're now into the mindset of thriving and expanding. Of course, this being Frostpunk, the early game is always very chaotic... But since there's no immediate threat to survival, of course the people of the city would start to question where the city is headed and what values will shape their future... Now some people will say that they're too much politics in FP2. But in my opinion, I think it's a very interesting blend of survival, politics and city management. One thing that I really like about FP2 is that it's very versatile; you get to choose how to run the city. Especially in the Utopia builder, with all the different factions. You can rule as an utopian leader, a narcissistic dictator, an essentialist, a tech savvy, or go mad on coal like I did and stockpile millions of tons. Because let's face it; at some point in the mid game, survival is no longer the first priority and you can go wild with your dreams... However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows... One thing that I don't like as much is the sense of disconnection. The first game used a more realistic time system, where you could really get a feel of the world that you're in by seeing the hours pass. But in FP2, let the game run at full speed for like five minutes, and suddenly months have passed... It's like if somewhere along the line, the game goes from an emotional surviving city builder, to a math and political city management game... One last thing that I don't like is the playability, once you've passed the main story objectives. Taking the main game campaign for example, if you know where everything is and what will happen, because you've played it already, then you could completely skip the city building and survival part of it; you could literally rush to get oil, rush to go to Winterhome and then quickly get the civil war over. You wouldn't even have to worry about making permanent installations and making sure that the city can support itself. In my case, once I got through the civil war part, I thought "Alright! Let's finish what we've started and defeat that damn frost! " *credit rolls* "What?! That's it!?!" Same thing for the Utopia builder; once you accomplish your objectives, people stops talking to you and it gets to the point of where weeks turn into months, months into years, and years into repetitive boringness... It's almost like if your city and savefiles where disposable; done with the main part of it? Throw it out then! I think what Frostpunk 2 is really missing is the emotional connection and a sense of ending to it. Sure you can complete your objectives. But there's no actual ending... I wished that, for example, there would be a "First Spring" like they mention in the Frostland. Or maybe even a way to research and look for answers as to why the end of the world has happened in the first place, since we never get an answer for that... In a nutshell, it's a very good game that can get you hooked extremely well. But it doesn't keep you hooked; once you past the story objectives, it's basically pointless to continue playing...

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recommended Absolutely loving this game! I’ve been playing it every single day and I'm still learning something new with every run. After finishing the story, I jumped straight into the Utopia Builder sandbox mode to tackle the various challenges. Every attempt feels completely different, and more often than not I end up losing — but that's part of the fun! I haven't tried the highest difficulty levels yet, but I'll definitely get there. A couple of minor flaws for me: When the city gets very large, the game starts to struggle a lot performance-wise (though to be fair, I'm playing on an older PC from 2018). Sometimes I just want to build and expand without being constantly interrupted by events, citizen demands, or roleplay pop-ups. Overall, highly recommended for anyone who loves deep, challenging strategy and city builders!
Testez vos jeux.
