About
Frostpunk 2 elevates the city-survival genre to a new level. Take the role of a Steward and lead your city through a cascade of calamities taking place in a postapocalyptic, snowy setting. Build large city districts with their string of endless needs and demands. Navigate through conflicting interests of factions that populate your metropolis. As the needs of the city grow and factional power at its core rises, only you can steer the society towards an uncertain future.

The world is overtaken by an ever present winter, which makes expansion of the city the only way for the survival of mankind. In order to grow, the metropolis needs resources like coal and oil, just like its citizens require food and warmth. In Frostpunk 2, it's your job to tackle this never ending circle of supply and demand.

The number of your citizens steadily grows, making the task of governing them and satisfying their demands all the more challenging. As the Steward you will have to maneuver carefully across the interests of many groups inhabiting the city.

People of your city want to have a voice in how you run things. Each faction has its own ideology and ideas for the future, yet they also have one thing in common - insatiable thirst for power. Choose your allies in the Council Hall wisely.

Make tough life-and-death decisions as you allocate heat across your city, supported by new research topics and heat-oriented laws. Choose districts that need the most warmth with the help of the Heat Management system with a detailed temperature overlay.

The story of Frostpunk 2 introduces a multi-chapter saga set in the frozen wastes. Spanning across the life of the Steward this campaign lets you feel the burden of leadership as you take the responsibility for thousands of lives. At the same time, the sandbox mode called Utopia Builder with infinite play time leaves you room for boundless social and infrastructural experiments.

Frostpunk 2 comes with a comprehensive and versatile modding tool. FrostKit will let you create your own maps, models, and scenarios inside the game. Now, only your imagination can limit the destination your city is heading to!

This is a very good second opus to follow on the footsteps of Frostpunk 1. While in the first one we had to manage and survive every single day and a single problem could lead to many deaths, this time, we play in weeks and honestly? Maybe it's because I play on Steward difficulty and not captain, but I made an oopsie before a whiteout that resulted in having -300-ish food for nearly 80 weeks... Well, honestly, I had way less deaths than I thought I would, in FP 1 that would have been just instant death 3 weeks into the whiteout. I quite like the almost full overhaul of the game and it being different than the first. One small problem I have with it is that you can't "repurpose" extraction districts from prefabs to materials and need to deconstruct and rebuild another one even when the deposits are within reach. I'm looking forward to the third DLC

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There's almost always something you need to be doing, something you're short on, this game forces you to constantly pay attention and plan ahead. If you enjoy games that require a lot of focus to survive then this game is great.
дуже класна гра,новий погляд на врішення викликів.За офіційну українську мову респект.
New London is back and more zoomed out than ever. Familiar ideas are back: Brave the cold and make hard choices to keep everyone alive…and in line. But everything's bigger this time,. More locations, a broader focus, and building something like a small nation-state versus a city in the original. – I played with a controller and while some interactions that are annoying (more on that below), for the most part everything was thoughtfully laid out and totally workable. It’s nice to not have to use a mouse and keyboard for a strategy game. That said, there is sadly a lot of UI cruft that was better in the prior game. For example, take heating hubs. They’re not needed most of the time and consume a lot of resources. In the original game, you could toggle them on or off easily from a single view. But in this game, that’s not possible. You have to zoom in on the tiny heat hub, interact with it, which opens up the detail screen, and *then* you can disable it. It’s a lot of steps just to toggle off something that you could do en masse from one screen in FP1. I don’t like seeing that regression. – The story is starts great, but ends poorly (a tale as old as time). As before, it drives you to make difficult choices and shows you the aftermath of those decisions. I didn’t love the finale. To me, it feels like it just sort of ends. I get not wanting to rehash Frostpunk 1’s epic finale, but, like, the frost is what I’m here for.
Instead of an epic stand against the frost, the final chapter is a…civil war? Sorry Frostpunk, but other games do war better. Do what you do best. Give me a mega blizzard as the finale instead, please.
The city builder and strategy side of the game feels board game-like. It’s light, and thankfully the UI clunkiness isn’t that big of a deal because unlike, say, Civilization, you’re not going to be filling the whole map up by any stretch of the imagination. Certain mechanics like soldiers and fighting are especially undercooked especially given how important they are narratively. While the strategy side of the game isn’t super crunchy or anything, for me, that’s not a problem. I’m here for the story and the vibes and the theming, and all of that stuff is good. – I enjoyed this game’s broader scope. Zooming out for the first time and realizing I could colonize the whole frostland if I wanted made me smile. The law, parliament and faction systems are neat. And the music, art, and just the vibes are just *so* good. After seeing several other city-builder/story games come and go leaving me super disappointed, it’s nice to see Frostpunk back and making this look easy. While I was interested enough to play through the main story, I can’t say I’m interested in chasing achievements or even playing DLC (as they don’t extend the core story), or going after endless mode. For me, the mechanics by themselves aren’t quite interesting enough to dive in for more. And for a game called Frostpunk, the cold takes a back seat this time, to my disappointment. Narrowly recommended, for those interested in Frostpunk's world and open to a story-heavy district-builder game.
I was sceptical at first, because i love the first game and all the reviews for this one said, that this game is just bad. BUT I WAS MISTAKEN AND WRONG TO DOUBT. I loved my first story playthrough, even tho everything went to **** multiple times. I can't and won't describe my experience in great detail but i want to say: This game is great and if you love part one and can accept, that this game is NOT the same game but a proper sequel, which takes place after the story of part 1, then you won't be disappointed. I had a lot of fun (and stress...but more fun xD)
Best Game
Dont buy. It's very buggy, laggy and have many crash-points in game (by save, script activation etc) First game was very cool, but this is unbalanced and bugged trash.
Played it on Xbox Game Pass before and really enjoyed it! I adore how replayable this game is, with a main scenario that you can complete in two different ways, as well as other game modes. The soundtrack is PEAK, especially the main menu OST (one of my favourite tracks in gaming). Graphics-wise, it looks astonishing and really helps you immerse yourself in the game. Overall, I'd give it a strong 9/10. One of the better post-apocalyptic city builders I've played!
