Fight through the fog in this sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder where clever positioning, explosive chain-reactions, and the environment itself can make the difference between life and death.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 30 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
As a deadly fog descends upon the world, the future of humanity rests in your hands! Assemble your train to determine your starting deck, plot your path through the bandit-infested world, and prepare for high-octane turn-based tactical battles where powerful synergies, clever positioning, and carefully planned chain-reactions determine the victor.

Choose from a variety of locomotives, carriages, and drivers to lead your expedition, with each decision adding a different set of cards to your starting deck, impacting the options and abilities you’ll have access to throughout your run. Gather resources to upgrade or purchase additional carriages that add more tactical tools to your deck as you journey through the fog and face off against a growing variety of enemy types with unique weapons, traits, strengths, and weaknesses. Will you rely on the spread and firepower of a minigun to quickly dispatch your enemies, use artillery to violently force chasing vehicles off-course, or hunker down behind shields and ram through your foes instead?
From hackers that can deploy decoys and take control of enemy vehicles to cranes that can push them around the battlefield, there are many ways to overcome the danger posed by the bandits and their leaders. Secure unique card upgrades and experiment with unexpected combinations to reveal powerful synergies – each with their own risks and opportunities.

With only a limited number of action points to use per turn, meticulous planning and careful execution will level the playing field as you face an enemy that constantly outnumbers and surrounds you. Force the enemy into the path of oncoming environmental dangers, push them off cliffs and into each other, or trick them into attacking one another as they telegraph their moves so you can plan yours. A clever use of Coal combined with a well placed Artillery Shot can force an enemy onto the tracks in front of you, only to be immediately crushed under your wheels. That same Artillery Shot could be used to destroy a leading vehicle and send it tumbling backwards to damage (and possibly destroy) everyone driving behind it, potentially paired with hacking cards that give you a chance to line more vehicles up first. The right order of operations will allow you to devastate the enemy convoys.
With over 170 cards featuring various status effects, support capabilities, damage outputs, and more, you’ll want to build a train that matches your preferred playstyle and unlocks powerful opportunities. Collateral damage, chain reactions, and manipulating the battlefield are all critical elements en route to victory.

Travel from region to region as you race to the edge of the fog, picking and choosing your path depending on a region’s specific modifiers and special rewards on offer. Branching paths within a region further allow you to finetune your route to the final destination based on the risks and rewards presented by each node along the way, ranging from battlefields to friendly waystations where you can upgrade and repair your train.
Every battlefield is different – some will see an ally come to your aid, others will give you less room to navigate and dodge the enemy, while still others might take place along the edge of a cliff creating a constant environmental hazard to use against your enemies. Many battlefields will offer a combination of factors that can help or hinder your advance, rewarding you with additional cards, modifiers, and scrap resources to use on your journey ahead. Chop shops and depots allow you to repair your carriages and locomotive, potentially giving you the opportunity to upgrade them and unlock additional cards, or buy and sell carriages to further modify your deck. Meanwhile, random encounters can provide rare opportunities in an otherwise unforgiving landscape, and boss battles at the end of each region will pit you against special characters on the battlefield, each with their own unique backstories and abilities to go with them.
Metaprogression allows you to unlock additional carriages, drivers, and locomotives to seek out new combinations and opportunities for future runs, or focus on upgrading your favorites to unlock even more cards to use in combat – the bandits are relentless and unforgiving, and while your choices during a run will have a significant impact, your choices between runs can unlock entirely new options to explore.
Fogpiercer puts you at the head of a rampaging train as it races towards safety and the future of humanity – intense turn-based tactical battles will see you constantly outgunned and outnumbered, but a shrewd tactician will always find a way to keep things on track.

Initially I considered thumbing this down - after initial excitement about core gameplay & visuals faded, runs started feeling repetitive. This comes down to 3 main factors: 1. Small amount of carriages in the beginning makes amount of available train configurations quite limited. Carriages have heavy influence on the strategy, and runs where I had to repeat pairings I've already tried felt dull. 2. Even with available carriages, most cards (and best cards) require unlocking. Having a small pool of cards to draft from means that you see the same options over and over again, further contributing to the feeling of repetition. 3. To make things even worse - cards you have in the beginning just don't pack a punch. You have to spend cards & AP to move opponents around instead, so you can survive, which makes fights (and runs) drag. I had to take a pause and return later for a couple of more runs that allowed me to unlock a few more carriages (sword & crane in particular) and more cards & modules, after which the game opened up. What I end up liking the most - is that the game does give you a lot of agency. You can optimise your train for swift movement and do hit-and-runs, or you can build a mobile fortress that will just obliterate everything in sight. You can swap carriages mid-run, which sometimes immediately replaces half of your deck, so you can pivot freely if you see something interesting coming together. The game hands out rerolls quite generously, so you feel like you're making a build rather than just scraping by. Also card mechanics in this game are legit. There are a lot of effects that draw you cards and allow you to filter your hand, you can spend cards to get more AP, modify other cards that you have, fix your draws (e.g. force cards into your opening hand), search deck, interact with the discard pile and more. All that makes it a proper deckbuilding game where you have levers to pull and not just at RNG's mercy all the time. One grudge that I have though is cards' (and modules') balance. Some are so situational that they're almost unpickable, and some cards are so strong that they pretty much win games singlehandedly (e.g. Conductive Rails). Having such balance disparity makes me return to the same configurations over and over, as picking anything else feels like compromising my chances to win. A line between a niche card, that enables an interesting build, and a fiddly card that requires a lot of effort to make it work, is very blurry though. Maybe my MTG past made me too critical towards underpowered cards though... Overall - a very nice game, the mechanic that makes defeated enemies slide back and collide is quite innovative and fresh, different carriages give you enough options to interact with the board once you unlock enough cards, offering meaningful synergies to explore. Perfect for Steam Deck.

Graphics 4/5 Nothing amazing or groundbreaking but it has a solid simplistic artstyle that works welkl, the aert on the cards and the characters is appealing and the enemy explosions feel satisfying. Gameplay 4/5 Solid puzzle/tactics feel in the vein of into the breach mixed with a deck builder, the different cards and combinations feel interesting to play and experiment with, always looked forward to unlocking carridges though runs can drag a little after a while. Music 3/5 KInda basic and repetitive but what is there isn't terrible, the final boss theme was pretty decent but overall mostly forgettable and inoffensive. Writing 2/5 It's not terrible, it's just there's barely any of it, characters are limited to a brief blurb and a few quips, whatever caused the apocalypse isn't even fully explained, the twist boss is pretty predictable, don't buy if you're looking for a good yarn. Performance 4/5 Had some minor hitching and framerate issues in the demo before launch but they seem to have been ironed out before release, game runs smoothly but considering my PC and the simplistic graphics it probably should. Summary 4/5 Fun little game to waste anything from a weekend to a week on depending on your tastes, nothing hugely original or groundbreaking but all the individual parts are mostly well made and slot together neatly into a reasonably well polished whole, if you like the look of the gameplay it's probably worth it.
cool train cards with a sword carriage.
Отличный рогалик, который не даёт сидеть и наблюдать. Постоянно нужно контролировать поле боя, перемещаться, и думать наперёд. Однозначно рекомендую.
man the game started so nice, i played for 2 hours unlocked a bunch of stuff already, went to end my turn and it completely broke my pc, i couldnt even alt f4 or go into task manager to shut down the game, nothing was reacting anymore, so i had to manually force shutdown my pc, restarted and all my progress is gone, i am going to refund this i hope this issue will be fixed, otherwise i will not waste my time. its a pity i enjoy this game a lot. i am still reccomending it, the game is awesome until this issue
It has a button to go CHOO CHOO!! Gameplay is great and can get pretty challenging pretty quickly. I think the restart turn button should be limited, but then again you can just limit yourself to what you'r comfortable with.
A bit repetitive, but good fun. Think of it as a puzzle card battler in a theme of Mad Max meets Snowpiercer. Get it on sale.

A very chill game, good gameplay with a task and story about isolation, can be a better game in the near future, right now is not complete, but it was fun.
Fun deckbuilder with tactical elements similar to games like FTL or Into The Breach. Scratches the same itch as Slay the Spire with similar amount of varied replayability, different characters and card sets.
