Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 30 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
As a deadly fog descends upon the world, the future of humanity rests in your hands! Assemble your train to determine your starting deck, plot your path through the bandit-infested world, and prepare for high-octane turn-based tactical battles where powerful synergies, clever positioning, and carefully planned chain-reactions determine the victor.

Choose from a variety of locomotives, carriages, and drivers to lead your expedition, with each decision adding a different set of cards to your starting deck, impacting the options and abilities you’ll have access to throughout your run. Gather resources to upgrade or purchase additional carriages that add more tactical tools to your deck as you journey through the fog and face off against a growing variety of enemy types with unique weapons, traits, strengths, and weaknesses. Will you rely on the spread and firepower of a minigun to quickly dispatch your enemies, use artillery to violently force chasing vehicles off-course, or hunker down behind shields and ram through your foes instead?
From hackers that can deploy decoys and take control of enemy vehicles to cranes that can push them around the battlefield, there are many ways to overcome the danger posed by the bandits and their leaders. Secure unique card upgrades and experiment with unexpected combinations to reveal powerful synergies – each with their own risks and opportunities.

With only a limited number of action points to use per turn, meticulous planning and careful execution will level the playing field as you face an enemy that constantly outnumbers and surrounds you. Force the enemy into the path of oncoming environmental dangers, push them off cliffs and into each other, or trick them into attacking one another as they telegraph their moves so you can plan yours. A clever use of Coal combined with a well placed Artillery Shot can force an enemy onto the tracks in front of you, only to be immediately crushed under your wheels. That same Artillery Shot could be used to destroy a leading vehicle and send it tumbling backwards to damage (and possibly destroy) everyone driving behind it, potentially paired with hacking cards that give you a chance to line more vehicles up first. The right order of operations will allow you to devastate the enemy convoys.
With over 170 cards featuring various status effects, support capabilities, damage outputs, and more, you’ll want to build a train that matches your preferred playstyle and unlocks powerful opportunities. Collateral damage, chain reactions, and manipulating the battlefield are all critical elements en route to victory.

Travel from region to region as you race to the edge of the fog, picking and choosing your path depending on a region’s specific modifiers and special rewards on offer. Branching paths within a region further allow you to finetune your route to the final destination based on the risks and rewards presented by each node along the way, ranging from battlefields to friendly waystations where you can upgrade and repair your train.
Every battlefield is different – some will see an ally come to your aid, others will give you less room to navigate and dodge the enemy, while still others might take place along the edge of a cliff creating a constant environmental hazard to use against your enemies. Many battlefields will offer a combination of factors that can help or hinder your advance, rewarding you with additional cards, modifiers, and scrap resources to use on your journey ahead. Chop shops and depots allow you to repair your carriages and locomotive, potentially giving you the opportunity to upgrade them and unlock additional cards, or buy and sell carriages to further modify your deck. Meanwhile, random encounters can provide rare opportunities in an otherwise unforgiving landscape, and boss battles at the end of each region will pit you against special characters on the battlefield, each with their own unique backstories and abilities to go with them.
Metaprogression allows you to unlock additional carriages, drivers, and locomotives to seek out new combinations and opportunities for future runs, or focus on upgrading your favorites to unlock even more cards to use in combat – the bandits are relentless and unforgiving, and while your choices during a run will have a significant impact, your choices between runs can unlock entirely new options to explore.
Fogpiercer puts you at the head of a rampaging train as it races towards safety and the future of humanity – intense turn-based tactical battles will see you constantly outgunned and outnumbered, but a shrewd tactician will always find a way to keep things on track.

if you don't understand positioning do not play this or you will hate it
Shield support atv+ is absolute cancer and has ruined any desire I have to continue playing. It spawns every first boss fight when you are at your weakest and gives out a total of 9+ shields to the enemies including itself and the boss before you ever touch your controls with no counterplay. And it will continue to do so every. Single. Turn. All on Fog 0 the easiest difficulty by the way. If you don't get rid of it on the very first turn you are just guaranteed to lose. At least with the enemy health increasing support unit it doesn't remain after death. Do the developers have rocks in their heads??? Why would you not realise that having a unit that has greater strategic import and an ability stronger than any other boss in the game be able to appear as early as the Act 1 boss fight and destroy your run with ease is bad? They've already done their first balance patch and ignored it so don't hold out hope of them fixing it. Just buy something else, they unfortunately already got my money.

A really fantastic roguelike. The positional tactics really give it a standout flavor. All the skills feel satisfying to use and great combos make you feel like a genius and not just because of RNG.
Fogpiercer, developed by Mad Cookies Studio and published by Hooded Horse, presents a refreshing interpretation of the roguelike deckbuilding genre by combining strategic card mechanics with tactical, turn-based combat centered around a customizable armored train. Set in a bleak frozen world swallowed by an ever-present supernatural fog, the game places humanity's survival aboard a mobile fortress that must continuously push forward through hostile territory. Rather than relying solely on familiar deckbuilding conventions, Fogpiercer ties its progression directly to the train's composition, making every locomotive, carriage, and crew selection an important part of a player's overall strategy. This foundation gives the game a distinct identity that feels both original and thoughtfully designed. The combat system is where Fogpiercer truly establishes its strengths. Every encounter requires players to carefully consider positioning, movement, and the order in which cards are played. Enemies possess unique behaviors and attack patterns that prevent battles from becoming repetitive, forcing players to adapt rather than rely on a single successful tactic. Environmental hazards further expand the tactical possibilities, allowing clever commanders to knock opponents into dangerous terrain, set up devastating chain reactions, or manipulate the battlefield to gain an advantage. The variety of offensive and defensive options, from heavy artillery and rapid-fire weapons to reinforced armor and powerful ramming attacks, encourages experimentation while rewarding careful planning over reckless aggression. Outside of combat, the roguelike structure delivers a satisfying gameplay loop filled with meaningful decisions. Scrap and other valuable resources gathered throughout expeditions can be invested in repairing damaged train components, purchasing stronger equipment, or expanding the train with specialized carriages that introduce entirely new card combinations. Random events scattered across each journey add welcome unpredictability, presenting choices that may provide valuable rewards or introduce unexpected risks. Every route through the frozen wasteland feels different, with branching paths offering varying opportunities, while challenging boss encounters act as memorable milestones that test everything players have learned during a run. One of the game's most compelling features is its long-term progression system. Successful expeditions and even failed attempts gradually unlock additional locomotives, drivers, and train cars that dramatically expand the available strategies. Because every unlocked component contributes its own unique cards and abilities, future runs become increasingly diverse instead of simply making the player stronger through passive upgrades. This steady stream of new content keeps experimentation rewarding and gives players plenty of reasons to return, as entirely different deck archetypes can emerge from mixing newly acquired equipment with previously unlocked components. Fogpiercer also succeeds in creating a memorable atmosphere. Its frozen landscapes, ruined settlements, and dense walls of mysterious fog establish a constant feeling of isolation and danger. The armored trains themselves become central characters in the experience, serving as both transportation and the player's primary means of survival. While the visuals prioritize readability during combat, they still manage to capture the harsh, industrial tone of the setting. Complementing this is a solid audio presentation featuring impactful weapon effects and an appropriately tense soundtrack that reinforces the feeling of pushing through an unforgiving world where every battle matters. The game's complexity may initially intimidate newcomers, particularly those unfamiliar with tactical deckbuilders or roguelike systems that emphasize careful resource management. Success depends heavily on understanding card synergies, train construction, positioning, and enemy behavior, making early mistakes feel punishing. However, the learning curve ultimately becomes one of the game's greatest strengths, as mastery leads to increasingly satisfying victories and a deeper appreciation for its interconnected mechanics. Every defeat offers lessons that can be applied to future expeditions, creating a strong sense of progression even when a run ends unsuccessfully. Overall, Fogpiercer stands out as an ambitious and well-crafted strategy title that successfully merges deckbuilding, tactical combat, train management, and roguelike progression into a cohesive package. Its innovative approach to building decks through train customization, consistently engaging encounters, rewarding progression system, and atmospheric post-apocalyptic setting combine to create an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique. Players who enjoy thoughtful strategy games with meaningful decision-making and high replay value will find plenty to appreciate here. Rating: 8/10
Great turn based rogue.
we're riding on the techno-train!
It's pretty fun. The core gameplay is solid, but the balance is way off. You can't really deckbuild, there's very little in the way of synergy, you just wait for one of the massively OP cards to drop and that wins you the game. There's very little replayability after that. Worth a go though.
its a good strategy turn based game i like it a lot i encourage people to give it a try
