Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Masterpiece
I played this game on Xbox 360 a couple of years ago, this is my favorite Final Fantasy game and I highly recommend it especially on Steam's Summer Sale when it is under 10$, which is when I bought it

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

i have already been playing for 103 minutes and its already so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good
Dont buy till they clear up crashing issues
I'm only writing this because I coincidentally have 13 hrs in it but I do genuinely love it so far. The combat can be mindless but I enjoy doing manual commands to stress my reaction speed and memory of menu commands between roles and characters which adds a layer of game system (game menu?) mastery I personally enjoy. I find the worldbuilding sublime but I grew up on Destiny so I'm used to digesting story via the good 'ol "tell don't show" [FASCETIOUS] through datalogs. I can see why longtime fans are left wanting but I am simply built different. See, my dad has been playing Final Fantasy since the SNES and his love of the series just passively rubbed off on me. I would play his copies of the DS remakes of FF IV and III back in elementary school as a way to bond with him and share a passion. 15 years later and I have played almost every single mainline game plus a half dozen spinoffs yet I have *never* reached the end credits on a single Final Fantasy game. Even though a Magic the Gathering card I pulled spoiled the ending of this game I have always been drawn to it, likely in large part to its black sheep status which I can't seem to stop relating to. I'm committed to see this one through.
If boring could be a game. Uninspiring characters, a pretty much non existent gameplay (switch your paradigms, press X, repeat), and the porting is horrible. I've set up FF13fix, but it seems the steam deck isn't able to cope with it, with a framerate oscillating from 55 to 35 fps. The graphic is the only good point of this game, where after 17 years it still looks modern and gorgeous and the cutscenes are absolutely great. But again. we are talking about a game, not a movie. Its an experience I wouldn't personally recommend.
Overall this feels half-baked in a way that makes you want to see the people new to game development improve or as a random one off experiment from someone experienced leaving their comfort zone, but isn't really forgivable in something as well established as a main line Final Fantasy entry. Pros: Scratches my itch to grind There are some interesting gameplay ideas in here The retry function Tonberry intro cutscene Cons: It feels like the tutorial is half the game The way this is written feels like it made sense in their heads, but was not well translated to the script Some of the interesting gameplay ideas they have in here feel half baked Feels more like a spinoff than a main line entry Barely escaped the DNF pile
